  1. Just seen the penalty decision. Bloody hell
  2. So no criticism from outside NUST is welcomed or to be listened to? Great attitude If it’s justified for sure. I still don’t think people understand what the role of NUST is and how it allows people like yourself to get involved in it. Whats the point of you defending them. Once they slept in with masters their reputation is dead. I would have giving them the benefit of doubt but the previous members ( like Thomas got re-elected ) so it is hopeless. I try to defend them because the couple of people I know who are involved in it give up a hell of a lot of their free time unpaid for the long term good of the club. It’s a hard gig at any club I’d imagine but with our owners almost thankless. Seems to be the case with some of the fan base too.

  4. The two people involved in this might have a lot of time on their hands and expertise in this area where the NUST haven’t and it’s not their sole purpose. Well we’ll agree to disagree as I think it it is relevant that you are criticising volunteers for something you aren’t prepared to volunteer to do yourself. Easy to just sit back and criticise.
  5. He’s f***ing spot on aswell. Bemused by these two comments. Please explain? Basically Wraith questioned why it has been up to 2 fans to take legal action, when this should have been the route trust went down. Got to say I completely agree with him. They seemed to revel in the glory of getting the takeover on the agenda at a fans liaison meeting, then basically said that’s us done it’s over to the consortium now. Again in my view they accepted the PL’s answers way to easily, in the end they were played by Masters and co. I get they’re ordinary working people doing this for nothing, however so are these 2 blokes who seem to be achieving a great deal more. On a final note this view may seem harsh as I accept they do some good work, however I don’t believe spirit of shankly or man u’s various groups would have just accepted the PL’s version of events and backed down. Yes I appreciate they are an official trust, however they did happily piggy back on the takeover to recruit new members. Controversial maybe but that’s how I see it. The Trust is just a small handful of a few fans that love NUFC. With lives. Family’s. Jobs. COVID worries. Excuse me if it’s not the case here, but I get the impression some fans think it’s this professional full time organisation with admin teams, PR teams, legal teams and contacts across the board. It’s literally half a dozen fans no different to half a dozen of people off here (both in some cases) giving up quite a lot of their spare time for the good of NUFC. They have just completed recruitment for a new board to push things forward. I take it you volunteered your spare time and let the members decide if you can bring something to the table?

  7. Definitely coordinated. Slowly cornering the EPL. This initial letter is just the stalking horse before it gets taken to court. If they need to go that far.
  8. Closing down especially. Longstaff should’ve just blocked the shot but instead he stopped charging out and worried more about sticking his hands behind his back.

  14. PIF will definitely be keeping an eye on developments. Unless this is nipped in the bud pretty quickly, there won't be buyers coming in for any of the clubs outside of the big 6. I've always understood why clubs want to keep more of the money they generate, but this top 6 cartel stuff is an absolute joke. It should have been shut down already tbh, they will wreck English football. Busy in court today...
  15. Just came to post that (Spurs). Unbelievable 10 year retrospective. Guess who that includes
  16. What is that based on, not calling you out, but I haven't seen it. I know they most likely prefer the american model with the draft picks, but I don't see this link. Stability for Liverpool/Man United? They aren't in danger of relegation any time soon. FWIW I would actually like a draft here, not that logistically its possbile really. I just see it as typical big club power grab. It's not an American thing anymore. If you look at new sports, f.ex E-sports, all the big teams around the world wants a franchise style league to protect their own brand. That's the route they've gone at Riot games and Blizzard, and all the teams have fought for a similar arrangement in CS:GO the last couple of years as well, only partly managing to do so since Valve is not as hands on with the e-sports side of the game as other game developers. If football was a newer sport, this is definitely the way it would have gone too imo, sadly. Disagree. It’s definitely an American thing. They’ve never liked relegation and their aim is to remove it. This is just the next safest bet to protect their “franchises” until they gain further control. If I’ve been lead to believe correctly approval of opposition ownership is also widespread in American sport too. Here’s Parry on TalkSport defending the idea for those who missed it. It’s 4mins in. https://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1602493200/1602495000/
  17. The 9th place vote is irrelevant when they just need 6/9 to make a decision and the 6 will be in full agreement on everything.
  18. One EFL club chairman has already been on SSN saying he’s backing it and most lower league clubs will. Gary Neville has said he’s backing it, so that’s Salford behind it. Aye, it’ll find its way thru. Our game has gone As long as 11 EPL teams stay strong then it doesn’t really matter about what the ELF think. Government is totally against it also
  19. Good question. It was due to resume in early October but there’s been zero movement. Hopefully both sets of legal teams have decided to come to a settlement. That in itself could take weeks/months to be agreed?
