  1. My logic is very simple. Without examining that closely on initial inspection of MS he looks very tall and powerful and can win the ball back (like Billing) Has lovely body strength holding off players and good in tight areas (like Billing) Scores an odd goal but nothing prolific (Like Billing). Just think Billing looks quicker across the pitch ?‍♂️ If EH is to be believed he’s looking for EPL ready. He probably already has a good relationship with the player. Guessing he’d be a far cheaper/lower risk deal which fits with our FFP issues that keep getting highlighted. He’s also looked very good every time we’ve played against him when at Huddersfield and Bournemouth. So better idea if he’d fit the dressing room. So there’s my logic explained. Based on 5mins of watching MS. Doesn’t mean it’s right or set in stone. It’s what’s called first impressions. Not sure what yours (and others) struggle in understanding that ? So binary on here.
  2. Not seen or heard that much of him. Not knowingly anyway. Tell me his attributes? And why if he’s so good has he been at Lazio for 7 years? Does he have a flaw holding him back?
  3. How don’t you have an opinion as if you’ve not watched him yet you are comparing him also alongside MS? Not understanding your logic ?
  4. Only watched 5mins like I said but they look very similar players. Billing I think looks quicker across the ground. Do you disagree?
  5. Think he’s doing well considering what he took over. He’s made them competitive and we’ve struggled against them twice.
  6. Don’t understand what you are saying?
  7. 5mins of YT has him as Joelinton Carrick hybrid. Lacking the pace that I think we need and are missing already in midfield if alongside Bruno and Joelinton. Billing probably cheaper who looks a similar player and probably quicker around the pitch.
  8. Weirdly his retirement shows how important it is to have the right characters in the dressing room. On paper they’ve went big in the summer yet still went backwards on the pitch. No wonder EH is being very careful with our dressing room balance.
  9. Brighton playing some great stuff as usual. Them and Brentford are a real credit to this division. Both very positive teams and clubs.
  10. It’s pretty much nailed on it will be a midfielder this window. A young RB this window or next latest. An attacking options as and when there’s a deal to be made that fits with them always being the most expensive.
  11. Exactly the point I was just going to make. You see that week in week out ?
  12. Brighton look like they’ve signed another little gem with that Mitoma.
  13. I understand what you are saying but if you watch the replay Ederson’s eyes and positioning are all focused and based on Rashford because not only did he continue his run instead of stopping it he even went to shoot until last second where he dummied it for Fernandez to shoot ? Are you honestly saying that’s not interfering with play? @Froggy
  14. Fair play ? Though it’s took an extremely dodgy goal to turn the game. Before that you were waiting for City’s second.
  15. Makes a mockery of Bournemouth disallowed goal against us surely ?

    Joelinton

EH confirmed in the press conference Joelinton wants to play Sunday. So I doubt it’s that. Firstly you never want to give the opposition any knowledge of your team early. Also to confirm immediately a decision would reflect poorly on EH as the more it looks like it’s being prolonged the more thought it looks as if he’s given it and less time outsiders can rock the boat pre match. He’ll be on the bench at least unless those above EH request otherwise. Maybe even unused if possible. Would be very surprised he’s not in the squad.
  17. Wood v Weghorst shoot out in the final. Let’s settle this forum argument once and for all ?
  18. I’m guessing they might not be allowed to as it would suggest like your follow up comment has that they could vote their mates on rather than what they have by the looks of it stayed impartial. They claimed to offer a few suggestions to this person as they would’ve appreciated another person to help with the workload.
  19. Again another thing I highlighted last night to them was the messaging of what they really are and what they do as I pointed out although they may think it’s obvious other people don’t. They are basically like a trade union. Hence the strength in numbers important. They will court opinion of its members via surveys based on requests etc made to them via its members. At that stage if there is a strong enough response on particular issues they will then take them to the club and try and implement whatever. Ultimately like a trade union it only looks effective if you have a government (or club in this case) that is prepared to listen and engage and ultimately implement the changes requested and likewise on the flip side the chance of that happening is greater if the Union (NUST) can give evidence of strength of feeling on whatever the topic is. Where I think they confused people (and I nearly brought it up but it can wait until next meeting as I didn’t want to prolong the night for ever as it ended up nearly 2hrs long (7-9pm) and they had to have their board meeting straight afterwards.) in my opinion was the whole idea of the Pledge scheme as that to me clearly came from within the board itself rather than a large demand from its members. This is also where I feel rightly people think there are decisions made for themselves rather than their members. You’ve got to have balance with some things so that is where the naysayers go too far criticising small things like selling Jigsaws or whatever because ultimately to survive the NUST needs funds in the bank. If only for their annual audit fee (£1400 which I thought was slightly on the high side as I’m sure my Freeman’s companies books only cost around £1000 so maybe a mute point). In reality they aren’t get any more income from the likes of me who took the £10 lifetime membership offer so that would leave any future income solely from £1 per annum members. So as someone has just asked about how many people care about the NUST it will be interesting in a year how the books look as that should give some indication along with the longevity of the NUST itself.
  20. I basically told them that when I found out on the night about the 4th nominee who didn’t get anyone to propose him (Needed only two people to vote for him). Their version of events was he was advised to do a couple of things to garner the two votes (assuming put it out in the SM sphere) but he never bothered. Seemed all a bit strange and very under publicised. Which reminds me for anyone on here who’ve hinted they wouldn’t of got on the board without a massive social media presence etc that clearly wouldn’t of been the case. You just needed two members to propose you on this occasion and that would’ve been enough to secure your place at the top table. My vote as I’ve said before is there for anyone who wants it and I’m sure on here we could find a secondary one.
