We paid Monaco £1.8m for his services. £3.8m would not have got us Lacazette. Thought we paid £6m+ for him? Lacazette was around £11m at the time. No, we paid £1.8m and Ashley did the usual thing of 'I'm spending the TV money, honest' by factoring in the player's wages. Cabella only cost us £5.2m also. Got this on very good authority from someone at France Football when we signed them, and posted it at the time.

Hopefully that means we're signing Atsu. I think that's a done deal as he was pictured in the NUFC car this morning I believe. Probably announce it in the morning.

His problem is probably the first few yards he can appear sluggish but over a longer distance he is rapid. There was occasion at home this season (Reading I think) where he was flying before winning the tackle.
