Simpson looks like he's backing off from that photo...

I thought that was meant to be Gomis?...

Blackpool 0-1 Newcastle United (FT) post-match discussion from p12

Sounded as if we created bare chances, from twitter. It sounded like that me too, especially the first half. It's been a problem for a good few years now... -

He's got a very good left foot. The problem is he seldom uses it. Oh No he hasn't... Aye but you think Beardsley was a midfielder. Pipe down & actually watch. He's absolutely right though. If Santon has a "very good left foot" as you say, it's about time he started showing it on the pitch.. Chelsea home - there's one for a start - a left footed assist & he put a few more decent balls in - the problem is there's never anyone who can header there to slot it in. Which one of the two right footed assists are you referring to here? And while you are at it check out his page on .co.uk and wiki which both having down as midfielder/forward which i alluded to in the other thread... Nah you called him a midfielder. He was in his twilight but as a player you'd call him a striker as I said I said if Scholes is being classed as a midfielder then so could Beardsley... And went on to give examples of when he played in midfield whilst in his prime... -

Scored from a corner...Time for "is this real life meme" someone... -
"anyone betting on him getting injured whilst commentating..."
-
Of course it's brinkmanship... They've got an unhappy striker who they could loose for nothing in 12 months time when they need money most... We need a quality forward and are running out of options for a team if we don't strengthen will more than likely flirt with being relegated...
-
Never seen him take a good penalty... Always looks unsure...

I seem to remember that article too...

Panic button has been officially pressed. It's hard not to at this stage, been down this road to many times before with this club. We will haggle so much that we lose out on all 3 supposed targets and end up with what? Yep... It seems quite clear we've 3 targets... Main one in dispute with a club desperate to sell... Another a club is happy to let go and possibly has a release clause... And another the club hasn't wanted around the club for over a season... Yet no obvious progress made... As always though will wait until end of window before judging them fully... I guess I'm just a big believer in squad integration...

Give him time, Benzema's still growing. Made me think of Red Dwarf...
-
Social media has had a massive part to play in this U-Turn in my eyes... That picture left him no wriggle room...
-
Thought so... Thanks for confirming... Will do that from next season if nothing improves at the club... Prefer away trips...
-
As always it will depend on how much he desires money ahead of a higher profile league...

@GFN_France: FLASH: J-M Aulas also hinted that a key meeting was to take place between Newcastle and Lyon shortly to speed things up for Gomis. #NUFC #OL

He did like to get forward... But I'd always class him as an attacking midfielder... Certainly if we are classing Scholes as a midfielder which was the original point...
-
He played midfield most of his career... An attacking one yes...

Where's that from then? Guessing Total Sport today?...
