I kind of agree. My theory is PIF AND MASH are working together on this. The line saying the EPL were happy to let month by month go by saying they would never make a decision knowing the flak was landing more and more on PIF. MASH agrees to play along at an increased price whilst PIF clarifying MA is not the bad guy in this scenario the EPL is. MA acts furious as he’s lost a £300m+ deal. Season is over so it has more media attention. Just a theory mind. Or clutching at straws Ingenius. The call out to the fans as well... Also this way it’s allowed them to break silence and point fingers yet re-do the deal without the need of a second deposit

Darren Gough saying no one from SA appeared at any of the meetings to answer questions etc as part of ownership make up going back to April. To be fair to him he said from day one it wasn’t happening.

Rafa was slowly phasing him out though would’ve still got some game time this season as wasn’t pushing him out the door because of his attitude in training etc and general leadership. If there had a significant bid for him last summer he would’ve probably took it and put towards an upgrade. It’s these tangibles people don’t take into account when those who ridicule the appointment of Bruce get criticised. Him and Shelvey deals say just as much about the club under Bruce as the actual poor results.
