Not disagreeing at all but just look at what Burn has had to put up with this season compared to the plaudits/perforamnces last season. He’s had many a solid game this season also but alas it matters not to some.

LB for us is such a weird situation. When compared to RB in particular. Of all those contending for a place realistically (Burn, Targett, Hall) none of them share similar profiles. Their strengths and weaknesses seem polar opposites. Burn can give you aerial support, reading of the game and leadership but lacks technical ability. Hall is weak in the air and very quiet on the pitch but has bags of technical ability but maybe still a little green with it. Targett arguably was the best combination and the middle ground before his two injuries which I fear will lead him to losing a yard of pace that he couldn’t reallly afford to lose, as although he was no slouch helped by his timing/reading of the game he certainly lacked pace. I can see why some would argue its a clear position to upgrade but I can also see the argument it’s not top priority when we are trying to develope Hall.

Can’t see Nice being happy about that train of thought. I’m sure they will feel it’s newsworthy.

Would never advocate abuse and don’t partake in it myself but not sure going forward if being so sensitive to criticism a wise move at this juncture. Especially if the players are full time professionals. Can you pick and choose equality? I’m uncertain.

As it stands with the two clubs frameworks remaining unchanged would they be allowed?

Does this really translate well in the the PL when it’s known how much money you have? One thing I’ll always defend MUFC and MCFC etc is if clubs know you’ve the money they’ll usually extract it from you to the maximum hence some inflated fees compared to others. Need someone who can spot and secure talent early. Unless of course that’s what you meant.

Not sure which men’s games you’ve been going to for 30yrs mind. Sound like pretty normal fare. As for the game we looked nervous first few minutes. Looked to be trying to play football but the link to the final third poor. 23 still looks the best player the few times I’ve watched them. GK looked very poor. Surely you just need to scout someone tall and train them when it comes to women’s GKs. The one position that let’s the game down badly at all levels.

Shame we didn’t gamble on Paqueta at the height of the links/talk. Him and Bruno clearly on the same wavelength.

I’d like to think I’m quite a respectful person and also not some one who seeks fancy pubs with Beehive, Rose & Crown just as agreeable to me than any when in Toon. So with that in mind I just want to say from my very short visit to Luton either side of our match I found it an absolute shit hole…

Did anyone in the UK get tickets for the tournament? I know dozens and dozens who tried for loads of games both ballots and returned the grand total of zero tickets.

It’s quite an easy drive actually. Did it for the league game. You are off the M1 before it starts to build up for London. I set off around 8am from Gateshead for our 3pm KO and that was the Saturday before Christmas too. Just coasted all the way.

I wasn’t disappointed with that season also. Especially after losing Shearer and Ferdinand on eve of the season starting. Thought we did well after the gut punch of losing the league also. Just like this team has had to with PSG away and Chelsea away and the away draws all round. Nothing has been kind to us this season but as EH says and I agree with him. This season will make us all the stronger going forward. The only disappointment I have of this season is of the fans moaning about the season.

The opening vision statement is interesting and should be shared more widely. Especially those thinking they will bin of EH after this season. They seem to have a very sensible plan regardless of all the roadblocks getting chucked our way.

This… Not very patriotic at all but bonkers decision by whoever signed it off and would imagine most countries would have an issue with it. The price is sickening too.

Champions League football for first time in 20+years. First FA Cup QF in 20+years. Carabo QF. Still in a strong position to finish where I expected us to with a full squad never mind one decimated by injuries (6-8). What you unhappy about? UCL we were cheated out of qualifying for to an extent, Carabo we were a tired mistake in last minute from going to SF and likely final. FA Cup we were knocked out by the best team currently on the planet. I’ll be a bit disappointed if we finish 10th or below but still 10 games 1/4 of season to go.

Yep. Whoever is promoting this game has given very little thought to if that is the case. Along with location and transport.
