Isak missing the final now?

Not disagreeing but like every game at top level it’s all about taking your chances. Arsenal we took 2 out of 2 chances away and thinking back 2 out 4 at home with Isak offside and Gordon open goals counting against us. Isak or Schars goals stand, Willock buries header or Burn his shot at end and it’s a completely different game and outlook. Same possibly if Wilson opened the scoring against Liverpool last week. Fans get too high and low at times when ultimately you are following a team in a sport with such tiny margins most of the time.

Since the Euros fiasco. All games at Wembley. Applied even to Gateshead when I went! It’s a pain.

Join the NUST. They’ve arrange a load of events for Saturday and Sunday including watch along’s. Also remember for your mate there’s a ban on anyone showing football on match day 1.5 mile radius of Wembley.

Thats why I have a longstanding believe there will be a compromise. Wherever we finish in the league this season is irrelevant. The players will be told in the summer our ambitions and the team (not squad) will get 3-4 quality additions. Then the clock starts ticking on the project with the aim of UCL 25/26. If not achieved Isak if he wishes will be sold for silly money with 2yrs of his contract left and we wish him all the best. The club haven’t took the approach they have in the last 3 windows to then simply bend over to a player/agent/competing club this summer IMO.

Didn’t used to be. 3yrs is 3yrs. It’s not all about what the players needs/deserves. Clubs are trying to build teams strategically. That’s why they are given contracts. The seeming modern acceptance that a player can do what he wants has massively crept in to the football fans psyche. As if they’ve almost been brainwashed constantly for years from pundits all associated with the “big 6” or journalists turned broadcasters due to paper sales dying and the public profile of players agents and other grifters rising. Funny that…

Well I helped most the posters on here complaining about the atmosphere with tickets So… would you care to retract that last comment?

Not surprised we are thinking about it. Thought it was a yellow personally. Red if in his face but yellow for back of head.

The atmosphere at each game since the club rebooted under Howe until they removed the option was was I’d say constantly the best atmospheres we’ve had those 18 or more months. Once removed and memberships were the only way of picking up general sale tickets the atmospheres declined. Beforehand as a ST Holder you could queue first and guarantee friends who really wanted to go to games got the tickets and seat them together.

The must berated STHs losing the ability to buy extra tickets coincides with the drop off yet never seems mentioned. Maybe one to discuss?

Wasn’t long into the game I stood up and shouted if any of you lot are going to Wembley to sit quietly like you are today you can fcuking stay at home… I don’t want Wembley being a morgue again! Whilst eyeballing everyone… Didn’t even get any pushback ffs. Worst atmosphere this season I reckon.

Agree. Mind you with better timing your talking two big chances against a Liverpool back four. I also feel like Gordon needs a jolt. Think he’s coasting a little.
