  1. Funny one and still not sure about it. Effectively there’s been a load of goals scored that are mainly irrelevant. There’s definitely a lack of tension in the games. I enjoy goals so not complaining but wonder if there is some drama missing. See how 2nd legs play out.
  2. I think what grates the most is Tonali would’ve been ideal for PSG away and Milan at home let alone Dortmund away. That suspension has killed us more than we care to think at times.
  3. Yeah I would’ve fancied us against Sociedad. Just remembering we literally had 11 players for that 2nd leg. A season of what might’ve beens…
  4. Joey Veerman of PSV any good? @Unbelievable
  5. Hypocrisy I know but I wanted him to lose this case. The money going out the game via agents is ridiculous and unnecessary.
  6. Not ideal but Liverpool beating Atlanta I think is priority.
  7. 7’s pitch booked at Dunston for 🔴🔵 11th May- 10am 🕙 for 90mins ⚽️ £6 each - usual details but for those unsure PM me. Include mobile phone number if you want to join the WhatsApp group. Use forum name as payment ref so I can tick ☑️ you off my list 📝 🙏🏻
  8. Yep. Would obviously like to see the full details to be 100% sure but had two people turn up for Man City paying £125 each and stuck out like a sore thumb as first timers. The regular ST holder turned up as per usual 10mins late with his mate (he holds 2 tickets) and asked them to leave his (usual) seats. All 4 went away and the strangers returned to the seats after a stewards enquiry. ST holder turned up next home game and claimed the club had made a mistake and “thought” the two tickets had been put up for resale. My only doubt in the whole tail is the ST holder is a bit of a grifter so did he knowingly resell both tickets before arguing his way through the turnstiles to his seats. Either way the strangers said they’d bought from the club…whether that was lazy terminology I’ll never know.
  9. I suspected this a while ago after an incident row in front of me when we played Man City in the league this season. Quite disgusting from the club TBH… https://x.com/oldheatonian/status/1777645052916822076?s=61
  10. Yep I seem to recall at the time them saying the fee jumps a fair bit on certain conditions.
  11. Is he not a CB/RB… rather than a striker?
  12. Expectations are low? You clearly avoid the majority of social media and half this forum.
  13. Matty Longstaff: "The gaffer was massive,". "He let me stay around the place. My contract ran out and he was unbelievable. He rang me when I was away and said, 'I still want you to come in. You have got to remember what you did here. You helped build this place to what it is. I want you to feel part of it. Never feel like you're not.' "The gaffer and his staff spoke to me every day. Whether it was for five minutes or 10 minutes, it was such a big thing when you're going through a big injury. The smallest conversations from the people at the top of the club mean so much - even if you're not in their plans. It can refresh you a little bit so I was really lucky in that sense."
  14. Similar to my thoughts hence posing the question. In his defence he’s playing in a completely rebuilt midfield and still young. Diaby I was never overly struck on. Similar with Maddison for the overall price. Paqueta when up for sale at Lyon feels the biggest miss out of the four and probably fee/wage wise the most realistic also. Obviously Tonali missing most of the season doesn’t help the final assessment. Hopefully of the five we’ve got the best one 🤞🏻
  15. Not sure I could stand some of our fans if a luxury tax was invoked. A lot of them are annoying as it is
  16. Where is the ticket for? Might know someone who’ll take it?
  17. Saudi clubs going back in for Salah again. £70m+ apparently.
  18. Well I know that Was just posing the question on the three players as the season comes to a conclusion…
  19. Speaking of Szoboszlai as the market is understandably quiet this time of the season. What’s everyone’s thoughts on him after his first (almost) full season? Better deal than Maddison? Or would you stick and back Tonali to better them both?
  20. Two different charges and one appeal to be fair. It was Everton’s fault they kicked the can down the road with the first one for two seasons. The fact the reduced points (after appeal of 1st charge) of 6 points would’ve relegated them either of those two seasons highlights why they’ve picked this season to accept their punishment.
  21. Yes surprised without being surprised the second reduction is so small. Expected 6 at least as basically they’ve tried to break the rules twice so not really a deterrent if the punishment gets smaller not bigger. On the other hand expected a fudged compromise as the whole thing is a mess and theirs very little spine running the league.
  22. If bought as a ballot/membership ticket I would’ve thought not but worth asking. You’ll be able to return it if no good I wouldv’e thought if you don’t leave it too late.
  23. Not usually a fan of career resurrection of players on big contracts but would anyone take Tanguy Ndombele for £5m?

    Elliot Anderson

I agree. Miley is still growing so will be interesting to judge him over the next year or two if hopefully still with us and in and around the 1st team. Anderson gives me Rooney with no pace vibes for some reason. Maybe he can morph into a Maddison style player. Next season a big year for him.
