People are going slightly off tangent here like, if we don't bring in anyone else before the window shuts then they should be rightly slagged off. They've spent no-where near enough yet. However we cannot just ignore these 'extra fees' because it suits us (just as they cannot over exagerate them to suit themselves).

It may have been more than 2 million though. Could have been upwards of £4m for all we know (doubt it like). But the point is that it's still money spent by the club, however big or small, and money that they are entitled to take away from the 'transfer budget'. I'd imagine most clubs would.

newcastle being the only club to try and justify free transfers being expensive to convince fans the 35 million has pretty much gone. Obviously the whole world knows about signing on fees and agent fees but to try and include all these things into the 35 million pound no wonder we can't afford anyone. (Pardew said the money is been spent, and used Ba as one of his examples) And signing fees/agent fees are the exact same as transfer fees, it's money coming immediatly out of the club. If we paid Ba and his agent 2 million betwean them, we are still losing a couple of million quid (hardly pennys). Just because it's not been payed to another club doesn't mean it has any less of a dent on the clubs finances.

I find it funny that 90% of the Sunderland thread is either links to or people taking the p*ss out of things on RTG but it seems people gets their knickers in a right twist if people do the same about a so-called Mag. RTG is the biggest SAFC online-forum, and people are taking the piss out of the actual views of Sunderland fans on said site. They keep on using the whole "there players were too nasty last year, but now all those players have gone and they are full of French puffs". In reality Nolan is the only one who has gone, Barton and Tiote (who absolutely dominated the midfield) are still here, and Cabaye is apparently a bit of a 'hard lad' aswel from what i've read.

Isn't that the point though? they aren't going any further forward than where they were last season. Our survey says...
