Shelvey's a decent passer all round but his longballs are consistently very good. He obviously isn't as incisive as Bruno but in terms of switching play and keeping things ticking over he's great.
-
Our 'fans in peace' generally come on to give a decent insight into their own clubs. I would honestly want to ban any other fan who signed up purely to lick our arses, it's vile to read. Not sure why they make it up.
-
He's played Almiron and Anderson in the LCM/RCM roles so it wouldn't be a massive surprise if he was seen as a midfielder like.
-
You just talk absolute shite, man. You've got the lab coat out to read unverified information from journalists on Twitter.

"When you really analyse our transfer approach"

26 seconds. Aye, buy him.

Hopefully we go in with £22m plus £2m in addons to show the footballing world that we're not fucking about.
-
Just Eric Cartman it until the 1st man lads We'll sign players and they'll massively improve us. Nowt to worry about. Sniff lines not transfer stories, or summit like that.

He'll have shagged more than all of us by the time he's 30.

We have access to a lot of free data nowadays, obviously not as much as scouting teams, and we're obviously not anywhere near as good at reading it as they are, but combined with Youtube and reports from data analysts you can often get decent info on players without having to sit and watch hours of footage. There were a few decent things written about Ekitike before he moved to PSG, his stats to a layman were great, and looking at his goals on Youtube it's clear he has a lot of composure in the box for his age. His goal record in France was also great for any age. There's nowhere near as much positive info out there for Joao Pedro, there's snippets but not enough that a bit of Dennis Wise scouting and FBRef hunting can tell us much. Edit: l'm really excited about Joao Pedro like, but I don't think anyone would claim he's as promising as Ekitike.

Agents might know and could pass it on. Romano, in fairness to him, doesn't seem to just make random shit up out of the blue. So it's likely he's been told something by someone he can trust to some degree (that info being right is another matter).
-
He's hardly going to come out and be like "aye we're signing 3 players". I mean we might only get 1 or 2 but that would leave us light up front and/ in midfield with Shelvey out.

Pretty sure Howe will want a striker, winger and a central midfielder, and you would imagine he will be given it. We tried to sign about 5 players on deadline day in January.

Untold: Crime & Penalties on Netflix is well worth a watch if you're into shithousing away teams.

There are some funny posters on RTG like It's just unreadable as 90% of the content seems to be based around lying about Newcastle

Newcastle United vs. Manchester City - 21/8/22 @ 4:30pm (Sky Sports)

Aye Ederson fouled Fraser off the ball and the referees and commentary team just made a new rule up on the spot. -
We've been partnered with StatsBomb since February, Howe has said we have a small list of targets. If we're going to splash over 20m on Joao Pedro then you can assume a lot of research has went into him - this will apply to anyone we sign.

I thought it was amazing tbh. Tony Pullis basically lived the Champ Manager dream.
-
Mad this was 10-15 year ago like. For the kid's who potentially missed these scenes: Game after game. Absolute madness.
-
Would be amazing if they revert back to the last decade, throw away their contemporary footballing ethos and just have a young Liam Delap pumping balls towards giant men from the touchline.

It's probably more to do with keeping the wage structure low in order to save money further down the line than it is with jealousy though (although that will be a factor). I think people underestimate how much money we can save (of which can then be utilised better in future windows) by being frugal in our business. Like dominos in' it? First one falls... 100,000k a week saved in wages is around 5m a season, every season. You add that to our unwillingness to go over our asking price for targets and it all adds up, 5m here and there eventually becomes 30m etc. This is obviously a very basic way of looking at it, but I don't think we need to look too hard to realise why we might not be too keen to just throw an extra 10m to get this player or pay this player an extra 20k a week etc. If we sign nobody else by the end of the window we'll have fucked up, undoubtedly, but I doubt that will be the case.

What are you even saying here?

Who is Football Insider like?

Adam P 'n all, we'd be fucked.

Could Pulisic not bring in a decent wedge through marketing that could justify a higher wage? Or is the commercial revenue from the US not that great?
