who sees it as a choice between the two ? Barton. Ben Arfa has done hardly nothing apart from that everton match & we don't know the impact of the injury will be on him. one person then. Yeah, hence why I said in the post you quoted "tbf to Neesy". This is hardly rocket science, man. i was just totally thrown with the "tbf to neesy" comment as it is such a rarity. fair enough

Tbf to Neesy what h's saying isn't that daft like, Barton is settled and probably our key player at the minute, where as Ben Arfa is still unproven in this league, and COULD very well still flop/never fully recover. I think it's pretty clear like of the limited time we did see him that he will not flop, and is by some distance the most talented player we've had in years at the club, but still, the risks are still there.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll
Hanshithispantz replied to Pilko's topic in Football
Is there no way we can get a few exact lookalikes on our books (bring them in from abroad and stick a wig on them if we have to), change there names by deed poll to "Andrew Carroll" and send a fax out to Man U, Spuds and Chelsea offering them Andy for 15 million? We'd then just send our fraud Andy Carroll's down to sign the 3 contracts and just explain the foriegn accent on the fact "he watches a lot of tele". -
Well he only said he'd try, to be fair.

Daily Mail: Qatar group interested in Newcastle buyout

Elmander's imrprovement is clearly down to the fact Bolton are a proper team now playing to his strenghs as opposed to the Allardyce style rugby bollocks he had to endure the years prior. Bergkamp would have looked utterly classless under Megson. -
To summirise this whole story is pretty fucking tragic, but if people would get off there high horse and look at the bigger picture it's pretty clear to see that absolutley no-body was solely to blame here. It's just a seriously unfortunate event, seemingly caused by the actions of 3 people, pretty stupid actions at that. Dale killing himself does not make him weak, stupid, cowardly or selfish, in reality he was probably just completely drained mentaly, and IN HIS OWN MIND had no-where to turn. Stupid decision by all means, we can all agree on that, he can hardly be blamed though. His lass was a bitch who made a pretty horrible decision to cheat on her boyfriend, cunt - yes, slag - yes, was she at blame for Dale killing himself though? No. Paul Terry done what 90% of lads his age would do, tbh.
-
To be honest, has Paul Terry actualy done much wrong? Like was he mates with Dale Roberts? I'm pretty sure most single blokes (presuming he's single) would cheat with a blokes lass regardless, I know I personaly couldn't give a f*** if a lass I shag is with a bloke or not. His lass is the one who was in a comitted relationship, and imo the one to blame [/Just to get a bit of perspective put into place] If PT had a family and/or was mates with Dale then it's a differant story like.
-
That point in bold is how I see it, albeit from the opposite end of the stick. People who have comited suiside imo obviosly have failed to see what we would consider the "right way" to tackle there problem. It obvios to most that there is alternative ways to get over there grief and that (to put it bluntly) there death is completely pointless, but during the time the decide to go through with it they obviosly aren't thinking straight for whatever reason. Whether this is due to clinical depression or moment of madness is irelivant, people don't just top them selves because there a little bit upset, something clearly big has to happen in there lives (whether it be sudden or over a period of time) for them to come to such a desision. I just don't think it's right to view the bloke as selfish/stupid like some people are doing in this thread, it's f***ing silly. (ps MyKidsSupportChelsea this post isn't realy directed at you, I just responded to the part in bold)
-
What you mean you genuinly believe he never thought about what his family and friends would go through before he comited suicide, i'd think they'd be the first thing on his mind along with his cheating lass. Many people who kill themselves leave notes, there would be absolutely no logic in doing so if they hadn't thought of the consequences beforehand. I don't know if Dale left a note, but i'd bet he wasn't thinking about what he'd had for dinner the night before hand when he was tying the rope round his neck.
-
Aye i'm sure thats exactly what he did like, hide behind all this depression nonsense, I bet he just topped his sell to prove a point. And where on earth did I suggest that? By suggesting he had other options but couldnt see them because he was too busy hiding behind the fabled depression. Or was he not included in that sweeping generalisation?
-
I know. And he had every right to make that choice, and the pain/anguish going through him must have been terrible and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Doesn't mean I agree with it though. Fair enough, I just personay think it's easier to say "he made the wrong choice" when you haven't been in his shoes. As has been said theres no way the lad would have wanted to die, but in his state of mind I imagine that was what he believed to be the only option.

It seems he was forced by his own heartache (as gay as that sounds). This obviosly wasn't just your usual break-up, go down the pub and get pissed etc, clearly the women was his life, and clearly whatever happened mentaly fucked him up, to put it brashly. Now i'm not a phychologist but I realy cannot see anyone choosing to kill the sell withought first crossing off every other option they can think of, I imagine than in the state of mind there currently in it's THE last resort. We're talking abouse someone taking there own life here you know, not just smashing there phone on the floor because there a bit pissed off.
