VAR should red that like

Should hold a public execution on the pitch.

Fraser looked like a mascot there -
Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

I can understand starting Fraser over him tbf like. But that would be if we had other forwards than Wood and Murphy. Currently if fit and the fixture list allows it they should both obviously start -
Like I'm in no way defending any of the actions of anyone involved with the PIF, and anyone who wants to maturely inform an audience of any of it is more than welcome. Not sure why we have to respect cockends baiting the manager of NUFC with pointless questions, or the gobshites attacking the fans like.

VAR checked the pen but the ref wasn't called over to review it. The VAR team must have been happy with whatever Coote's perspective of it was which is baffling given he gave a corner.
-
Burn and Dubravka both could have done better but it's splitting hairs really. As for VAR, I think this new 'instant' offside tech they're looking to bring in will be great, that and spotting off the ball incidents are a good use of the technology imo. In general though the ref either needs to be given full uninterrupted control (essentially removing VAR outside of offsides and off ball issues) or the exact opposite, and have his decisions during big calls being completely overruled when and where necessary. This process we have currently is completely mental.

Chris Wood (now playing for Nottingham Forest)
Hanshithispantz replied to BeloEmre's topic in Football
He wins a lot in the air but I never notice it as he rarely makes anything of it. It's probably still effective in some mad stats geek way but I deffinitely don't get old school target man vibes from him. -

I thought it was one of his better games visually tbh As a team we consistently see things break down in the final third, he contributes to this but everything is exasperated when our wide forwards carry very little threat. -
He'd look at home pulling a creamy bucket in like.

Aye, they can get away with the whole 'Shearer did that every week' bants for the elbow but that penalty decision was something else. Even Caragher was laughing at how ludicrous it was.

Worst VAR performance of the season against us. There's absolutely no excuses left anymore for how fucking stupid this shite is.

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

Howe's biggest ask is probably just that players understand and follow his instructions and Miggy has possibly just been a bit behind on that. -

I often forget that Southampton are owned by a local lad who pulled them up through the Football League on a window cleaners budget like. -

I think Howe would have that sorted out pretty quick if it was the case like. -
Was actually proper creased when he did that. He seemed to emphasise the fact he was being a total cunt with the theatrical roll, it was beautiful.

We only found out about Willock's toe injury and Joelinton's thigh issue months later. ASM often comes on strapped up like a ninja turtle so it wouldn't be a massive surprise if he'd had a similar problem (or problems) which we've been keeping an eye on and making decisions game to game. -
I agree with you I'm just saying if people want to play the semantics game every goal has 'luck' behind it as every goal is on a scale of probability. No football fan would actually call that a 'lucky' goal unless they were being disingenuous. It was a 'low probability' effort though, same as any 25 yarder.
-
I mean you can call it what you want but anything that inherently has a probability attatched to it requires a degree of luck. Which is what Conjo is getting at I think. The lower the probability the greater the 'luck'. It's just silly for anyone (like the Southampton fans who have apparently said this) to single out particular goals as being 'lucky' when the player has pulled off what they attempted, as they would have to concede that pretty much all of their own speculative goals are also lucky. It's semantics but 'lucky' is usually only applied to players scoring from a misshit, or something out of their control. That is technically wrong though.
-
Fuck knows, it's true though isn't it
-
Outside of sitters every goal is luck (and even then there's an element of luck). No footballer ever has had the ability to perfectly connect with a ball and place it exactly where they want it at all times Literally every single one of Ward-Prowse's free kicks have essentially been lucky. The better you are at something just improves the odds of pulling it off.
