Honestly the whole things a complete joke. Either let it overturn mistakes or don't It should just be used for things like offsides and off the basll incidents where there's essentially no debate outside of extreme edge cases. -

What is actually the point of VAR? It's completely pointless, all it's done is make shit decisions even more infuriating. -

Happened a ridiculous amount lately. The Arsenal game was insane but there's been about a dozen incidents in recent weeks where the referee has just allowed our players to get pulled down only to give a free kick for the same thing 10 seconds later or before. -
Martial possibly just needs to get away from Man Utd like, if the price was good he could be an insane buy. We've had a few French born attackers that seem to flap it at big clubs but are crazy here. Remy, Ba, Hatem.

I think Lingard would be perfect for Howe tbh.
-
I just don't see how it reduces the chances by any meaningful margin. They're with each other every day. They went for a meal at a resteraunt instead. It would have made more sence to just get pissed in Eddis Howe's garden if reducing the risk or covid was absolute priority. Like I've said though my initial post was due to getting the wrong end of the stick.
-
I don't see how covid affects a gathering of people who work together daily like. It can change the venue but there's no real difference in people coming to work or coming in to have a social meeting.
-
If I was working for a company though and they told me "performances are down so we're cancelling the Christmas party" it would just piss me off, not motivate me to work harder. I heard it in the pub so never got the full story, thought it was a bit of a PFM move but it seems like he's just scaled it back which is fair enough.
-
If they aren't working from home then it's pretty unnecessary in many cases like.
-
It was but I've read he took them out for a bonding meal instead which is fair enough. You can have a non-alcoholic, low key Chrisas 'party' (which it seems he's done), it doesn't have to be a radge piss up.
-
I wish he wouldn't do stuff like cancelling the Christmas party like I just cannot see how that will in any way improve our chances of staying up.

for some reason I've got vivid memories of Rafa dropping him. Fuck knows whats going on there
-
It tells you nowt tbf, being in a relegation scrap doesn't mean you need to shut teams out and flap your arse trying to scrape draws and 1-0 wins. Howe and Rafa have completely different philosophies, Rafa also didn't like Ben Arfa, completely understandable given the type of manager he is but you'd be hard pressed to say Hatem looked bad for us. Gini was a forward/winger when he was here too, we also had a much better squad.
-
aye he largely looked quality. Never looked like he could play CM with us but Klopp showed he can.
-
He's a good manager obviously but management across the board has probably gotten a lot better since his Liverpool and even Napoli days. Managers are getting younger and more tech savvy and there's more going on behind the scenes with regards to fitness and coaching that narrows the gap even more. Pretty much every club in the league now has a billionaire involved too. You're just never going to get to the standard of football Liverpool are playing with Rafa.

I've got no interest in womans football at all like, like has been said it's just not great to watch and the lads who follow them beyond a passing interest are likely sex offenders. However I completely agree that key games should be given priority. Even beyond the positive growth it can have for womens football it just seems fair that any British domestic final should be televised.
-
If we buy a proper CDM and add Lingard then our midfield (which is currently disgraceful) starts to look more fitting with the Premiership. He's better than pretty much anything we've got and is pretty versatile too. Add a couple of fullbacks and a backup striker and we should be fine.
-
Thought Almiron played well tbh. He's a shitter Ayoze but it's hard to complain of he gets involved like he did yesterday given the options. Willock again is absolutely pointless though.
-
Pretty clear now that he blagged that interview like I'm happy with him and the performance with 10 men was impressive. But it's plain as day that he knew very little about us beyond some probable internet scouting and MotD. This is why I wanted a clearout of staff and a proper DoF in and for the club to regulate our coaches and the assistant instead of Howe. As much as I'm excited for Howe's ideas I would feel a lot more confident if the people he talks with about football everyday had some clout about them.
-
Picking a CB on the basis of which foot he kicks a ball with is not understandable like. Fede looks like a legitimate Premiership centre half and Clarke doesn't. Their kicking foot should have no bearing on the decision. The best guess is that Howe has recieved some pitifiul notes on the squad since coming in.

Great performance given the circumstances. Hopefully Eddie recoveres from his brain injury and sticks with this back 5. -

Nowrich have put in one of the embarrassing performances I've seen. -
3 points may be a worthwile trade if we continue on with this defence. Thank you Clarke. He knew what he was doing.
