Is he trying to show off? -
Sounds like some sort of deep seated Spanish homophobia.

That Ibrahimovic goal is absolutely disgusting

Well that would be pretty mental then IMO Oh aye deffinitely, I just mean that as a critisism that’s fair enough if it turns out they were fit. Rafa is known for picking teams based on their assesment in training so I don’t think it’s too outlandish tbh More so with Rondon than Shelvey like. I just don’t get the notion that if you’re fit enough for the bench then you're fit enough to start. I’ve never seen that argued in my entire life watching football.
-
Have you honestly never seen players lacking fitness being put on the bench before? They might have been there purely as an emergency incase of injury to Joselu or one of our midfielders. Like I have no idea but them being on the bench = they can play the majority of the game has never been the case.
-
If they are unfit they shouldn't even be on the bench and Rondon certainly didn't seem unfit during the week. Eh players come back from injury and onto the bench all the time. Like literally all the time. I don’t know what condition Rondon and Shelvey are in, I’m just assuming there’s legitimate reasons they were on the bench and then never came on. There’s multiple reasons why that could have happened.

For some reason I thought we were talking about heads and vols Nit sure I ever played foot volleyball
-
Iirc there was 2 versions like, one where it could hit the ground and one where it couldn’t. In he former sometimes half volleys would even be allowed for added lethality.

The goal was to set people up to rattle in absolute thunderbastards

I’ll feel nowt either (atleast it feels like that right now, after a win it might be different in reality), since Rafa has been in charge this is the most ambivalent I’ve felt about the club. -

The way I see it is Rafa is leaving at the end of the season anyway unless he gets money, so the difference is less than a year in anycase. Him leaving now though just leaves us with another year of awful performances and a fairly likely relegation of which we’re not a cert to come back from. As it happens we have a manager in charge who has united the fanbase for the first time in god knows how long (and has probably prevented people just packing it all in), who brings media attention to Ashley (the like of Sky have focused on Ashley more than ever from what I’ve seen) and who could possibly stabilise us until the end of the season while maintaining the pressure on Ashley. I know you don’t think there’s any pressure like but he’s in the news (both sport and otherwise) all the time now, part of that is down to Rafa calling him out. -

Ashley won’t be forgotten about unless he spends money. I cannot see how Rafa going and us getting relegated helps us here? The likes of Ashley Out and the Magpie Group are clearly putting preassure on him and his reputation in general is damaged right now across the country. -

Catterick is class, proper League of Gentleman vibe (obviously Shearsmith is in it too)

he has the best dry delivery of any comedian like.

FWIW I don’t think it really works in clip form either like, even being a fan of Bob The songs and daft stories are pretty rubbish and nonsensical but they’re meant to be as the whole point of the podcast is him and the Get in the Sea guy just talking shite. I don’t think they’re written to go viral.
-
I think a lot of it is knowing Bob Mortimer just doesn’t take himself seriously at all. There’s just something about him. If pretty much anyone else did a podcast like that it wouldn’t work. I mean if I just loaded a random youtube clip up and someone else was putting daft voices on pretending to be Peter Beardsley I’d think it was absolutely shite
