  1. He's the most Rafa player in the side. He can be frustrating because baring the odd moment of ingenuity from him the nippy little player from a few years ago has completely gone. I get the Jonas comparison but he's obviously not that good (I know that hasn't been said), Jonas despite his many flaws was a decent Premiership player, I don't think Perez is. He's like Gouffran from last year in that he works hard, follows orders, and is just about good enough in front of goal to win a couple of games. We obviously need a proper number 10 next year like, but due to our lack of quality in all areas of the pitch he's doing as good a job as most in keeping us up. But if I have to tell you that then you have been wasting your time watching Newcastle over the years.
  2. We'd probably be with a shot of finishing 7th if it wasn't for Lascelles' injury Considering our squad Rafa has done brilliantly like.
  3. Huddersfield had no urgency about them at all there like. Utter shite.
  4. Dummett's deceptive quickness coming in handy there like Think they were expecting him to be slow as fuck.
  5. Great half like. Not really been a bad player if we ignore Gayle's horrific misses.
  6. Creased at how much Huddersfield have had to alter their style in this league considering how their fans were going on last year when Rafa rinsed them at their place. They literally thought they were Liverpool.
  7. Has this commentator even has a cursory glance at our stats this season?
  8. Gayle has done really well to make a couple of chances but fucking hell he just panics like fuck now infront of goal.
  9. He's the footballing equivalent of those weird 5ft 9 cunts who claim they're 6ft for some absurd reason.
  10. Worth remembering that this included returning after a horrific injury too.
  11. Yeah, but that means VAR will be giving 6 pens a game for shirt grabbing in the box then? Fair point really, probably not, but it just seems to be a football wide acceptance that shirt pulling is allowed, video reffing or not Is part of football not based on luck and subjectivity? Different people have different opinions on what is a bad tackle or foul. The fact people can argue both for and against Italy getting a pen shows it simply isn't as easy as "VAR says it's a pen". Would Italy have felt hard done by for not getting a pen? Probably not. I don't understand those opinions though. Its clearly a penalty going by the rules of the game. VAR has generally been shambolic when trialled in the FA cup so far but I don't understand the outrage when it actually does its job the way it should It shouldn't have been a penalty because the referee and the linesman either didn't see it or didn't think it was a penalty, whether they were right or wrong. Football has always been the rule of the ref, not some cunts sitting in a room watching a load of teles. Whether they get the decisions correct or not I just don't want VAR to have a major part in the game. EDIT: That's without even touching on how much of a cluster fuck the entire thing is too.
  12. They've completely ruined the game like. I don't know why everyone isn't absolutely fuming. Baffled some are defending it.
  13. Footsoldier telling it like it is except when he's telling it like it factually isn't.
  14. Not really. Many don't mind a player not tracking back etc if he's good enough when we have the ball, Robert and Ginola fit this. It's always pissed me off when anyone questioned Ben Arfa's work it's his defensive work that's always brought up, his work rate when WE had the ball was the problem as he just didn't give a shit unless the ball was in his immediate vacinity and too often he'd take on and beat 3 players only to run the ball out or leave too tight an angle to get an effective ball in to get away with it. As a fan I loved watching his skill but I can see why not many managers wanted him and why his career has went as it has. But this was highly effective.
  15. How many people actually 'hated' him though? Most of his critics, self included, would have loved to have seen him fulfil his talent, and felt very exasperated when it didn't happen. The difference is whether you see the problem as being with Ben Arfa, or with the various managers that he's fallen out with. The problem is obviously with Ben Arfa, which still doesn't excuse Pardew of the ridiculous way he utilised him on a match day. He was easily our best player and when he played regularly he won us games. He was dropped for Ryan Taylor, Shola Ameobi, and Cisse on the wing.
  16. It was always a bit telling that the people who hated Ben Afra were the same people who saw Pardew through to the very end too like (Ian excluded).
