aye I’d edit that post a bit like.

Worded that horrifically Just meant we don't really need a traditional 'number 10' to play there - Benitez has scrimped a bit there before.
-
Gerrard played behind the striker in the 2007 Champions League final, think he used to play Cisse and Kuyt up top too - we definitely don't need some magic number 10, just someone who isn't completely shite would do.

Aye, clearly. -
Outside of corner kicks Ritchie has been stifled pretty easily on the wing like, I don’t see how it’d be any better in the middle.

It was such an obvious wind up without any real attempt to even make it sound real I’m surprised people are mad -
Played as a LF from what I can remember, Cisse was up too when he arrived I think. I don’t think it’s just his position like, there’s deffinitely something off with him.

Aye, I thought we looked more comfortable on the ball than we have in many games this season. Brighton, Huddersfield, Palace we were sloppy. We know our front 4 are not good enough, and our 2 forwards are the worst in the league, until that’s sorted we’re going to look limp as fuck up top. It’s been no different to any other game this season other than West Ham and Stoke. The rest of the team were fine imo. Solid and unspectacular.

I'm not judging him fwiw, I think it's pointless bringing him on as a last ditch attacking effort though as he doesn't look like he has the confidence to run at defenders yet. Aarons at the very least has the ego to make difference.

Rubbish hes absolutely shocking much in the same mould as all the cheap shit buys that we have accumulated....Joselu,Manquillo,Diame,Perez...All absolutely piss poor and not strong enough for this division We have been beaten by teams we expect to compete with heaven help us when we play teams that attack us wave after wave away from home We'll probably be better given that's what we're set up to beat.
-
Looks to have no confidence what so ever. Hope that's it anyway as the alternative is that he cannot beat a man which renders him pretty useless. Seems a bit pointless bringing him from the bench when we're trailing.

Wasn't the ball pinged at him? I don't think he did too much when he came on like, but he was only on for about 10 minutes. I don't think it was physically possible for him to have been 'absolutely rubbish'. -

I definitely believe Benitez walked out of the dressing room to let Stevie G lead the half time team talk in a Champions League final like. That's definitely something that would have happened.

"It is in studying Benitez’s time at Valencia, however, that we begin to see the potential rationale behind signing a player like Joselu." Because he got fucked over with Abraham and Lucas Perez. I just don't think Joselu's performances upfront can be dressed up at all tbh, if he doesn't start scoring or at the very least making himself a nuisance up top then I cannot see the point of him in that role. Basically any footballer with decent stamina and a half good touch could do the job he's done recently. -

I thought that when we played Swansea, aye. He never scored but he looked energetic and mobile and he's obviously atleast decent in front of goal. He'd improve us loads.
