  1. If you want to super turbo IQ connect the dots though then why is Isak randomly telling Howe he wants to leave with 2 massive games left in the season? Find the missing link and nirvana is yours
  2. Given the way he's went on it's not a massive stretch to think he'd want us to miss out on the CL to give him an easier route out. He's earned no grace here like
  3. Howe only gave Osula 5 minutes against Villa despite us having no striker on the pitch all game. And last year a legless Wilson had 350 minutes in the league with no Europe. It's probably more a squad size issue than a wage issue why we'll not go for him, but Vardy would see a fair amount of game time if we don't sign 2 strikers.
  4. So let's say we get Strand Larsen and keep Isak, would people be happy with that? Or would they be happier with Vardy in too?
  5. DCL would have been asking for much bigger wages than Vardy you'd assume. But aye, we have 0 strikers, we've already dropped 2 points through it and we're going into a huge game against Liverpool. A 38 year old Vardy at this point seems like a dream
  6. £60m man We should be able to sue Isak for the financial damage he's caused like
  7. I'd assume a large part is that clubs don't actually want to sell players. It's usually the buying side who are getting what they want, and the selling side being bullied into it, so they'll happily drag their heels until they get a daft price.
  8. We should set up a pyre and burn Isak on the pitch pre-game.
  9. Yeah I don't think there's much I would argue with, just that he has shown flashes of consistency in front of goal, and we'd be buying the dip with the hope last season was a one off. 14 goals while not on pens is a great return in your first Premier League season. If he was on penalties he could have had 23 (Palmer scored 9). Even missing 1/3 he would have hit 20.
  10. The season before he joined Chelsea he surpassed his xG, and was in the top 98% of forwards for non-penalty goals per-90. 14 in 34 the season before last at 22 is a solid return. He's missed some absolute sitters, there's no doubting there's a lot of work to do with him, but he's shown enough to suggest he could score a lot of goals in the right side.
  11. We need 1 sure thing striker to bag goals (Larson, Wissa, Mateta), and one who is a bit of risk but we believe we can turn into one of the best strikers in the world (Ekitike, Sesko...) I'm not sure where Jackson falls into this, I would assume if we were to buy him Howe would feel he can turn him into a £100m player, but he may just be an alternative to Wissa.
  12. Nicolas Jackson Are You For Reeeeeeeal Never meant to hit the ball that wide I apologise a million times
  13. Is it true that Wissa was told that he'd be let go for £27m, we've bid that and they've went back on their word? Not that I can blame them, it's outrageously cheap and they have a chance of milking our desperation for a striker, but it's not the same as Liverpool and the media tapping up Isak and lowballing us with no indication we'd sell for anywhere near £110m. As for Wissa, if he's keen to play for us I don't really give a shit about his attitude atm, I would hate him if I was a Brentford fan, but he's not going to be striking for a move to Barca in 2 years time.
  14. Some players are probably just saying they want him back rather than supporting his actions.
  15. In all seriousness Vardy was apparently still hitting 34-35 km/h last season. Obviously it's a different task to do that frequently over 90 minutes, but he's not your average 38 year old. Edit: This cannot be right like
  16. Vardy is a generic freak, man. He's got another season in him As much as it's a meme, he's probably the best choice out of the ones out of contract.
  17. Osula's first touch was to back into a defender, take a high ball and lay it off, which instantly made him more of a striker than Gordon.
  18. What's with all these giant Norwegian strikers?
  19. Think it's just at a point of who we overpay for, do we splash £45m on a 29 year old, or £55m on a 25 year old. Numbers pulled out of my arse. Wolves might be happy taking advantage of the situation and more confident picking a replacement up on the continent for £30m.
  20. I thought Larson was absolutely shite but I must have just caught him on a couple of bad games. Retrospectively looking at him though he does look a tidy striker. I still think Wissa is the one like, he's perfect for that clinical super sub role he'll inevitably drop too, and is more than capable of leading the line this year.
  21. He's a really clever forward too, and a late bloomer like Vardy, so may get more mileage than you'd expect out of him. He'd be my pick but don't think it happens.
