Genuinely baffling we've been at the "this is so close boys!" stage whilst he's played 3 times for Palace When Prem teams have an asking price they seem to actually mean it.

If we'd sold Trippier we would have needed another right back, Howe will want him to stay (he's still our best fullback) and he'll likely play most games when fit if he does. His head was obviously in bits when he was just handing goals to the opposition every game.

"Completely irrelevant" is bit over the top like. Looking sharp in pre-season and continuing where you left off is a good thing, and orobably why Howe started Murphy over Almiron.

Murphy finished the season well and carried it into pre-season. I wouldn't write him off because of one shite game. He'll obviously not keep those numbers up, but between him and Miggy we're well covered for reserve wingers. Gordon will likely be given a shot at RW now, which is what most people have wanted for a while. When Wilson is fit, and if Osula is ready this season, we might see more flexibility with Isak too.

I think a lot of this is just selective camera shots like. 'The event' was months ago, he isn't going to still be walking around like a constant emo to this day.

I think that's the plan but unless we bring someone in we'll have to change it up. Willock and Joelinton formed a great partnership down the left for example, and I'd like to see Howe explore more with our frontline if needs be.

We're currently playing Murphy though. In anycase my guess is we're hoping Murphy takes his pre-season form into the season. We could play Joelinton, Willock, Isak or Gordon out there if necessary.

Tonali is legitimately rapid like After Gordon he's probably in the mix for the quickest in the squad. Think people are being massively harsh on him personally.
