It's the ridiculous case of a player starting something to cause another player to bite and not being punished for aggravating the situation. It happened in our favour with Lascelles v Hull tbf though, minus the theatrics. The FA just don't have previous of punishing it, but have a strict stance on any kind of violent outburst. Lansbury's kick to the back of Shelvey's legs just doesn't look as bad, I suppose. The rules are a bit daft and have always favoured little cunts like Lansbury, but it's hard to argue that Shelvey's ban should be rescinded.

I agree with that. It's this number 10 position that's the most problematic. I don't even think Diame has been bad but we can upgrade him pretty easily tbh. What he's shown so far anyway.
