It could of dragged on that long it would of looked even more of a joke if he was found not guilty I've no idea, maybe we got our lawyers involved or something which slowed things down? It's all guess work, but they wouldn't have just found him guilty for no reason, and they aren't just doing it to 'make the league interesting' which seems to get thrown about every-time a decision goes against us. I hope there's a chance he gets off on an appeal but I doubt it.

Arguments about who would displace who are besides the point, I think it would be madness to break up Lascelles and Clark but it doesn't mean either, in a vacuum, are better than Dunk. I wouldn't swap Hayden for either Kayal or Stephens (or Sidwell even) but if you were to ask a Brighton fan they'll probably have the exact opposite opinion and it'd hardly be wrong. We have a far better manager and a stronger squad on the whole which will be what should see us top the group.

Not sure how you've come to the conclusion that he's far better than Ritchie like. Like what I've seen so far though. Very good, especially as a sub, at this level. Aye, Ritchie had a good season in the Premiership last year where as Atsu couldn't get a game for Bournemouth. They're in the same team again and it's a similar story, despite the grumbles about Ritchie. Atsu seems to fluctuate between looking unplayable and anonymous. I do like him as another option though.

I disagree that they have a lot of filler like, no more than you could say we have with Gouffran and Dummett - ie players who are more than good enough at this level but hardly the reason we're doing so well, although they contribute to it. I'm not saying they have a better starting XI in any case. They have a really strong side and it can definitely be argued they shade it player for player, although being biased I'd disagree. In terms of the whole squads combined I don't think it's close however.

Never seen Solly March like, but Stockdale, Dunk, Bong, Stephens/Kayal, Knockheart are all probably better than some players we have playing regularly in their positions (Darlow, Lascelles, Dummett, Hayden/Colback, Gouffran). You can make a case for others like Bruno (who they seem to love). Some people seem to think they've fluked ~90 points last year and 48 so far this year though.

Their defence is a lot stronger and their midfield is also great, a lot of their players would walk into our side, hypothetically.

We have a stronger squad than Brighton (although the first XI is close, player for player you can argue they shade it) and it showed with the ease of that winstreak - only really Preston massively troubled us. We're only 1 point ahead but that includes our hilariously bad start to the season and the single worst refereeing performance I've ever seen.

Thought Hull looked shite personally. Think the conditions were more of a factor than their defending. From like Palace onwards though most teams are far far stronger than ours, Burnley, Boro, Watford and Bournemouth not by much like.
