McClaren thought he wouldn't fit into a system which used Obertan on the left wing? I think it's pretty clear he undervalued him early on like, he'll be one of the first on his team sheet now though. It doesn't really matter much for Perez but it raises further questions of us getting rid of Abeid, as obviously McClaren and his coaching staff didn't have enough time to evaluate him.

We were nowt flash against Swansea but West Ham and especially Watford were absolutely horrible performances. We literally gave Swansea the ball and allowed them to continually rape our best player.

Actually if anything the Mahrez comparison just shows you what a difference playing in a decent team can make for a player.

Mahrez has looked class though 1 in 10 for goals and assists is hardly tragic for a midifelder like.

They're not man, he just hasn't shown anything to suggest he's the type of winger we need. i.e. the guy we gave away for nothing.

His 2nd was to allow the same fullback to make up a yard advantage on him before he'd even past the halfway line. I haven't given up on the lad by any means, but he doesn't look a great option for us at the minute.

Yeah I though the 2nd half was a clear change of direction, we rarely saw the ball and when we did we just hoofed the cunt back at them.

I cannot remember us going long much at all in the first half tbh, we kept the ball better than Chelsea imo, 2nd half we just gave them it for some reason.

His style is clearly more about retaining possession and trying to play it across the floor like, we did that well in the first half. Today was the 2nd time this season we've actively played for a point though.

It's massively refreshing to see someone with genuine passion, he got the fans going a few times which can play a massive part.
