I can understand the press coverage like, it's far more than just 96 deaths (as daft as that sounds), it's carried (and still does) huge political debate; the coverup was absolutely horrific. I just think things such as the 7 minute delay to kick offs across the Premiership are a bit OTT, not that I'm really bothered about it or anything, it's not a big deal at all. Ibrox and Valley Parade receive next to no media attention which is sort of understandable, but I cannot see how their deaths are any less mournworth (fuck knas).

It's mental to think that whilst those people were being crushed up against the fence people were actually taking those photos like. I'm not really one to critisise people who take photos during disaster situations when they're powerless to help, but in that circumstance it just seems a completely bizarre thing to do.

Meh, I dunno tbh, it's just weird. I would barely even say I "support" us any more tbh I can barely even be arsed to find and maintain a stream for our games never mind go. I used to be gutted the day after a game as I would have to wait another full week (usually) to see us again, and along with the weekend approaching I'd also be counting down the days until we played, weekday games were a massive bonus and international weeks were torture. I used to spend the bulk of a transfer window refreshing various news sites on my phone in the vague hope a new rumour - no matter how ridiculous - would appear linking us with someone, anyone.. I'm really starting to forget how any of that feels. I've watched probably half a dozen MOTDs the past year or so, Sky Sports News which I used to have on pretty much daily I've very much ignored along with most other football based shows (Football Focus, Goals on Sunday, Soccer Saturday *whitey*.) It's nothing to do with us being poor, I've been through that before, it's just that question, what actually are we any more other than an advert for a shop that sells tat? A football club that actively doesn't want to achieve anything? Who's manager's job isn't actually to win football games? It's completely bizarre, is there another club on the planet that's ran in the same way?

At this point I honestly would. I'm just so fucking bored with us it's ridiculous.

People tend to focus on the things Pardew hasn't got as opposed to what he has. "We made a £45m profit" "Cabaye was sold" "He had injuries that year" "He was playing extra games as we were in Europe" "We never bought anyone in the summer" these things are true, and are a factor, but they still don't excuse the manager when he's getting absolutely thrashed week in week out with a team that half of the managers in the league would kill for.

Yeah, without trying to sound like a prat, although it is difficult when saying this, it's just entirely obvious to me (or "us"). I see no reason to read or write anything in any great detail anymore that tries to analyse Pardew's performance or explain why he shouldn't be managing the club. I'm just happy the media have finally decided to inform everyone else. Surely when we're in the worst run of form andthe press are noticing, it's exactly the right time to heap criticism on him as much as possible if you want him out. Criticism while we're chasing Europe is never going to catch fire and mount any significant pressure. It certainly won't resonate in the national (international) press. Nah I agree, sorry it probably didn't read as I meant it too tbh. I'm happy that there's a lot of negative press surrounding him at the minute, I just personally cannot really be arsed to read it. The more there is the better though, and hopefully anyone still trying to defend him at this point reads stuff like this and gets on board, whether it be in the media, on sites such as TrueFaith and The Mag or on one of the various blogs.

Cabaye went off injured, other two were still nightmare subs though. Cabaye went off because he was (apparently) never going to last 90 minutes as Pardew said either before or after the game, i think it was tiredness not an injury, but either way Pardew went ahead and subbed Marveaux before Cabaye, knowing fine well he was going to be taking Cabaye off soon anyway. It was a terrible decision.
