  1. 100% We’ve been very impressive with a squad that clearly needs more work. We should have at least 3 more points (a conservative number) but for the consistent use of VAR working against us.
  2. On the pitch I agree, but VARs with the benefit of video? It cannot be incompetence? The decisions yesterday were clear cut, I don’t think I’ve seen a single person even be able to play devils advocate about any of them
  3. Could do it multiple ways, each team could have X ammount of reviews a game, and declare which incidents they want to send off. VARs wouldn’t know which team sent off the clip though.
  4. They’re professional referees, for all we can lament how shite they are incompetence of this level is extremely unlikely.
  5. VAR should be done remotely by independent referees who aren’t in a room together and who have no context of the original call or the match score. Just get sent a clip to review and vote on the outcome. 10 referees or so, majority wins. At the end of each game they need to do a write up giving their perspective of each event they judged, which can be publicly viewed.
  6. Still cannot get over this like. First time I've stopped watching a match since Howe arrived too, couldn't be arsed after it.
  7. Surely these two decisions have to start something like? There has to be a tipping point.
  8. Did the referee blow for a foul in the Wham game or did VAR overturn it? If it was overturned then aye, that's worse like Absolutely insane.
  9. It’s the worst decision VAR has ever made like, surely? Other decisions that have been awful can at least be explained by some daft technicality.
  10. It’s beyond a joke, they can literally just do what they like. They might as well just give Palace a goal.
  11. The problem with Isak replacing Wilson is that there's no real improvement to the side, Wilson is one of the best strikers in the league. He's strong, good in the air, and can hold off defenders better than Isak too. Our main RW target was Moussa Diaby, so this idea that we need to replace Almiron with an equally hard working winger doesn't really hold up, wide forwards are often some of the highest scorers, I cannot see why we wouldn't play Isak there when fully fit, he has all of the attributes for it.
  12. Has anyone said this? I assume they mean with Wilson? wood should never start again tbh
  13. @KaKa Isak has never been, and never will be a full back, why you want to play him there is beyond me.
  14. It was a great window but also a reminder of how much we’re going to benefit from improvements behind the scenes, mainly to the academy and to our scouting department(s).
  15. Joelinton did absolutely nowt wrong like We were drawing the game, it would have been absolutely disgraceful for him to march towards the corner flag when we had players free in their box.
  16. Bet Darlow turns out to be absolutely fine.
  17. I still cannot grasp the sheer gall of it all like, the whole narrative is ridiculous How dare us tire out with our wafer thin squad, and resort to game managing a team of drug cheats.
  18. Enrique must have supported them as a bairn like, it’s the only explanation for why he polishes them off to the extent he does.
  19. He wouldn’t be doing Almiron work as he isn’t that kind of player, I know where you’re going with this but it isn’t relevant, people don’t expect Isak to play as a winger, I don’t think it’s ever been suggested.
  20. Nobody wants Isak as a winger though, he would be starting on the wing for defensive shape but would be playing as a ‘wide forward’. He wouldn’t be sitting out wide crossing the ball in.
  21. It was noticeable but nothing we don’t see other teams do. Some of it could genuinely have been cramp too, given how hard we worked. There was never enough to justify 8 minutes of added time, it was insane. Hard to take any of it seriously from a club who openly dope like
  22. I’m not too bothered about other fan reactions, we were time wasting and it’s annoying being on the end of it especially when you are desperate for a win, we would be the same. It’s the fact the media have allowed a narrative to justify completely fucking us over. We were time wasting therefore 8 minutes added time is sound. Sunday Willock missed a chance after a penalty shout which gave them an excuse not to give it, despite the referee not playing advantage. Last week Schar was backpedaling to meet the ball, which gave Stones the right to wipe him out in the area.
