  1. If he was 26/27 maybe but the guy is almost 30 now, how long does he potentially have left at the top level?
  2. We are great at doing down our own players, he was a critical player for a team that finished 4th and 7th over the past two seasons. Yes he hasn’t played much since the turn of the year, but that is due to their being a better option in Tonali, rather than Longstaff being utterly bobbins. He's a better player than many on here give him credit for, just much like Willock he no longer fits into the way we play and the club has outgrown him. He will go elsewhere and be a success, I’ve no doubt.
  3. Given Mitchell publically spoke about lowering the average age of the squad, I strongly doubt it too
  4. I think he’s on about the game In 22/23 and if you think he should’ve been expected to make that save, you need a trip to the optician
  5. Am I the only one getting triggered by people calling the mythical animal on our crest a seahorse instead of a hippocampus? I think it might be time for me to collect my pedantic curmudgeon badge 😂
  6. That’s my thoughts, there might be an argument about higher ceiling etc, but isn’t Ramsey also made of glass?
  7. Don’t think they make a RHD G Wagon G500
  8. I"m sorry Mazzy, but you’re not being a star with this comment like
  9. Why would that help us, given we won the other cup already?
  10. Can see both Wrexham and Birmingham competing for promotion well ahead of Sunderland next season if they don’t win the play offs like
  11. The defender never touches the ball, he goes through Martinez's leg to move the ball
  12. That’s a pen, it’s the Barca defender pushing Martinez's foot onto the ball Took me too long to type, it’s been given
  13. Wharton going off has ruined any rhythm Palace had
  14. Is that not roughly what we paid for him? Just checked and it was an undisclosed fee reported to be up to £3M
  15. I’m fairly confident in this fixture, as even when the gulf between the two teams was massive under Mourihno, they had a honking record up here. It’s one of those occasions intangibles, much like our own honking record at the Amex, Villa's record at St James' which makes me think we'll get the result we need. Especially if the crowd do their part. ps: I’ll still be utterly bricking it approaching KO time though
  16. Weirdly I saw a thing with a few 40odd year old Man City fans and they are still like us, expecting bad things to happen despite the last decade plus of evidence to the contrary. So by my reckoning it might just be a genuine fan thing tbh.
  17. Clearly not those posters no, the ones who seemingly want to diminish what these players have done. FFS there’s someone earlier in the thread trying to suggest that the Man Utd game was closer than the 4-1 score line suggested, despite us playing it in second gear. im convinced some posters in here after having a threesome with Jennifer Anniston and Liv Tyler, would complain that Janine off Easternders wasn’t there too 🤦🏻‍♂️
  18. Good god, reading some of these comments, really does demonstrate how psychologically damaged our fanbase is. Now for a second go back to the start of the season, or better yet after the 4-2 defeat to Brentford, now if someone told you then this team would win a cup and have CL qualification in their own hands with 3 games to play. You’d have been over the fucking moon. Some posters on here need minge bungs, as minge wipes wouldn’t cut it 🤦🏻‍♂️
  19. I don’t think anyone is underestimating them, but much like us away at the Amex. Chelsea are normally honking at St James' even when they’re a really good team
  20. With prime Kante in front of it
  21. Keane going on about other players apparently cheating with a straight face. I don’t think I’d ever tire of smashing the dog wanking, bell end in the face with a baseball bat
  22. Face like a chimp, opinions and intellect that would embarrass a chimp
