Modric is pure class. To say he isn't is ridiculous. Spurs main issue is the obvious problem of the striker, they need a top quality striker or atleast to play the best of the ones they've currently got, which they don't. The longer they go signing midfielders instead of strikers the better though as far as I'm concerned. I'd hate to see them improve.

Nolan as a second striker doesn't work. Ireland up top would make much more sense.

Does anyone else find that whole ranking system a bit odd? When Inter won it last year they got a coefficient of 34.09, the year before Barca won it and got a coefficient of 28.66, lower than what they got for reaching the semi final a year later and lower than Shakhtar who won the UEFA cup in the same year. Doesn't really make sense.

Given the number of midfielders Spurs have I imagine 'Arry will opt to play him as a DM in a 2-7-1 formation.
