  1. In my first season in the Championship I scored 24 goals, promoting my side to the Premiership. In my first season in the Premiership I had 15 goals by February, scoring against the likes of Man Utd and Arsenal, leading to an international call up for an England friendly. Am I a £35mil striker? No, I'm Michael Ricketts. Not saying Carroll will turn out the same way, because I don't think he will, but you can hardly blame Ashley for accepting the bid, especially looking at how things could turn out.
  2. Because he hasn't sold the club yet [/literal answer] You can hardly judge the man for taking 35mil+ for a player who has had 6 good months in the premiership and then we simply didn't have enough time to bring in an adequate replacement. By no means am I an Ashley fan, but all this Carroll shit is starting to get boring.
  3. Jarvis would be a must buy if Wolves went down.
  4. My post wasn't directed directly at you, it was more in reference to those who have said we'll go down because we put in a poor performance last night, which is a massive kneejerk response. I was more just pleased to see Benwell Lads post and views as they seem pretty well thought out, rather than belittling any one particular post.
  5. We usually perform pretty well against Arsenal, obviously they're favourites and everyone is down about last night's debacle though. Debacle ? - howay man. We were poor and got beat 1-0 by a decent Fulham side. First half was pretty equal, we couldn't hold it up front second half and it looked grim but only a piece of chronic defending stopped us getting a draw. Poor yes - but compared to some of the stuff we've seen in the last few years I'd call it a narrow defeat not a "debacle", Logical, well thought out, non-kneejerk response alert!
  6. Not surprised, he was anally raped against WBA this season. Good player in his day, massive t*** though.
  7. No thanks to Taarabt and Bendtner. Doubt AJ would come here but I'd take him in a heartbeat, I'd snap up Pav as well. There would probably be better, cheaper options abroad though. Take for example. Buying from abroad could easily go wrong as well though, Guivarch and Cordone are pretty good examples of this.
  8. When Barfa and Ireland are available again, 4-4-1-1 or 4-3-2-1 please, until then stick to 4-4-2.
  9. While it would probably be worthwhile, we won't bring anyone in.
  10. .com has it on Sky which got me confused. Cheers Don't know where they've got that from. Stoke vs Mackems is on Sky in the morning, Wolves vs Man Utd is on ESPN in the evening
  11. Fuck me, some of the reactions in here are beyond belief. Aye, we were shite, but to say we're going down after one performance is pretty daft. I guess noone saw the Bolton and WBA games like? This isn't the first time this season we've had a bad game.
  12. Modric seems to contribute more from a deeper position now though, controlling the game from the centre, spreading the ball about and pretty much dictating how Spurs play from what I've seen. He's their best player if you ask me.
  13. Would never have imagined that. He's still not as good as all 3 of them, mind.
  14. Roma, Man City, Besiktas, Hibs, Wehen. £158 profit it comes in.
  15. If a bid for 15 Million quid was put in, do you think Blackpool will take the higher moral ground and reject the transfer? Its all relative .... Totally agree. A lot of people on here were saying yesterday that they'd accept around a 40mil bid for Carroll, or atleast take it under serious consideration, and now that it's happened people are going on like MA has taken a shit on their doorstep and pissed on their kids. MA is far from a saint, and has seriously pissed me off with some of his actions in the past, but to think he's in totally in the wrong for accepting the offer is insane.

That's a brilliant story of romance and betrayal. They should be an author, could easily transform that into a medieval war or something. Nando comes along, is a brave knight, Zahra falls in love and assists him on his way. He finds a troubled time when the evil King Roy comes along, but Zahra still loves him and will support him. Along comes King Kenny and Nando gets a new lease of life, begins to fight the fight again but then proceeds to leave Zahra and join the Roman Army. Zahra will love him forever more. Cue book 2.
  17. Pretty sure the 'next batch of teams' would be some of the top Europa League sides or other Champions League sides, rather than us.

    Season Tickets

Aye, but it needs to be invested in the squad. Otherwise what is the f***ing point? To support your team?
  19. Hmm Offer possibly too good for them to reject. Still could've been turned down though. Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
