Tend to agree. We have some decent players but desperate need firepower and bit of squad depth. As it stands, I don't think this current squad would survive next year. I disagree, we'd still have a stronger squad than the 3 promoted clubs and another 2 or 3 clubs that are already in the Premiership if none were to bring in any players, imo.

QPRs squad is going to need some serious improvement as well. Their strength this season was the defence, but that'll be tested much more in the Premiership and will more than likely leak quite a few goals. Going forward they've got Taraabt who will be more likely to go missing when the team isn't doing so well, and looks like he wants to be on his way out anyway. Routledge isn't really Prem standard if they sign him from us, nor is Helguson or Smith. Players like Shaun Derry certainly aren't Premiership quality either.

I'm in this camp. The way he reacted when he got the card and when he dropped to his knees when he misplaced a pass in the second half shows he really cares. With a more mobile midfielder next to him he wouldn't need to do the work of two men and would hopefully give away less fouls. The constant "shooooot" is irritating too. He's hit 1 good (god-like) shot all season. Aye, shows how much it means to him really, and he disappointed he was with himself with his reaction when he over hit the pass out wide. He does need to cut the number of bookings he gets down, but to fine him would be silly really. He's been immense for us all season, pretty much doing the work of two men in the middle for the most part. I'm sure, with time the number of bookings will decrease, and giving him a fine for getting booked would just be a good way for making one of our best players less happy.

He's a big step up from Guthrie, give him Guthrie's wages, flog Guthrie to a promoted / championship team and Mike can even keep the couple of million transfer revenue for all I care. Essentially a cheaper Joey Barton without the history and the injuries, I could live with a team of JB's. Unless we could get Seb Larsson on cheap wages, which I don't think he'd come for, I'd rather chance Lua Lua as cover out wide right next season.

Had a decent game today, better than Willo's been playing in recent weeks. I'd still rather bring in a new CB in the summer to play alongside Colo, but I don't think that'll happen.

I rate Iraola as well, like. Considering they only have Basque players in their squad (or the vast majority, I'm not sure if it's the whole squad or not) and are much more limited with their options of who they can sign etc, they have a really good side and play some decent football.
