  1. I can imagine the offer being there, everything ready to go but then Ashley saying “nah it’s not for me sorry” just to be a total cunt......because he can
  2. Something isn’t right if he can’t make an impact against a league 1 side
  3. What’s this Lazaro player like then?
  4. Total bugger that if it’s his ACL, 6 months minimum realistically
  5. Same here, might actually go to the pub to watch.
  6. I was at Tynemouth market yesterday chatting to a bloke at one of the stalls - he sells old Newcastle match programmes among other things. He was laughing that my mate who was up from London looks a bit like Mike Ashley (he does amusingly). We then got onto Mike Ashley........and he offered a staunch defence of him, saved the club financially, shouldn’t be down to him to put millions in. Then proceeded to tell me that I wasn’t a supporter given I’ve decided to stop going because I don’t believe there’s any true ambition nor do I want to put money into it. I politely disagreed and put my point across and he’s obviously entitled to his opinion but it was astonishing really.
  7. Caulkin is on point with almost all of his comments and analysis whereas Edwards seems to just push his own agenda. The WUM nature on Twitter now is pretty embarrassing and annoying too. I used to like some of his articles a while ago but he’s nosedived in recent times and I don’t read anything of his anymore.
  8. This is truly desperate, giving out season tickets
  9. I’m going round my sisters in laws to watch this in part just for a catch up. The last time I saw them they were shocked that I hadn’t been to any matches given I’ve finally moved back to Newcastle after 4 years. They were half giving it the “support the team not the regime” angle though neither of them goes that regularly. I just reeled off the list of things that have happened under Ashley and the complete lack of ambition finally encompassed by Rafas departure. I’ll have a beer and watch the match, cheer if they score but it’s all half-hearted stuff and I have absolutely no intention of going down St James. My Chelsea mate summed it up on the phone yesterday “there’s probably 3 teams worse than you which is way you’ll stay up”. That’s where we are Jesu. I actually think Saint-Maximan might score for some daft reason.
  10. He's not interested in selling. We could be as attractive as you want, he won't sell. That's the issue. This is sadly the truth, he’s not going anywhere unless it goes completely belly up or someone offers him ludicrous money that blows everything out of the water.
  11. If Saint-Maximin and Almiron ever start finding the net and they sign a striker for some desperately needed goals in Jan they’ll probably stay up. But really what’s the point? I guess the hope that someone buys us but that’s not happening is it.
  12. He’s totally killed my interest in nufc, I haven’t even watched a game on tv this season.
  13. He’ll probably make it on the pitch for a cameo appearance at some point but it’ll be short lived and he’ll have to be subbed off injured.
  14. I moved back to Newcastle from Carlisle on Saturday and initially I’d decided out of principle not to attend home matches. Now I’ll be honest it’s also due to completely losing interest. I’m helping a mate out with his race in Northumberland so I might be back in time for kick off to watch but like you I’ll probably just check the result and watch the highlights. I guess disgust at Ashley and now complete apathy has set in.
  15. Honestly why would anyone sign up to this now
  16. If there's no takeover and Rafa goes, I'm in this boat I think. Me too will only follow my NFL and NHL teams Thankfully I follow other sports such as cycling, NBA, NFL and a bit of rugby so there’ll be plenty other stuff to keep entertained.
  17. I guess Ashley is banking on the moderates and the day trippers going. Financially a drop in numbers wouldn't hurt the club given what the tv money brings in but swathes of empty seats never look good. The club shat it when people walked out against Spurs? Sadly we've never got to see if sustained efforts would've impacted Ashley and now Rafa.
  18. Other than a catch up with mates and a pie and a pint what would be the point? Ashley will have confirmed he'll never change even, the club is essentially Sports Direct United with no aim of achieving anything. I honesty can't understand why after the litany of previous ridiculous decisions Ashley has made that this wouldn't be the last straw.
  19. Imagine the chaos if as expected now Benitez says he’s off and the club has to do a frantic search for a (cheap yes man) manager and then “attempt” to bring in new signings and with pre-season literally round the corner. Total car crash of a situation but entirely predictable.
  20. Or maybe Rafa can convince Ashley in so many words that’s he’s fucked if he brings some two bob manager in because he’s going to have to spend anyway and there’ll be the threat of relegation. Rafa guarantees Prem status and with just a modicum of change in terms of ambition and spend the manager and fans will be relatively happy. Ashley is such a stubborn fuckwit though god knows what he’ll do.
