  1. Is there an argument for Gayle getting a run out given he’s our only striker? I mean bag a goal and at least we have another option for Watford assuming we can’t bring anyone in before then.
  2. I’m in the Milburn/Leazes corner so a different view again from where I normally go. Looking forward to an outing without feeling massively stressed which will absolutely be the case next Saturday.
  3. His nickname at Nantes was “the wall”. That’s good enough for me ?
  4. Thats probably not far from the truth. Club would probably try and keep it fairly quiet if he’s done for much longer. If clubs know he’s likely done for most of the remaining season they’ll play even harder ball.
  5. Agreed. The club were probably hoping he stayed fit and to bring in a younger back up option. It’s a totally different picture now. Not having a legitimate striking option could mean relegation because we have to assume the worst with Wilson and that he might miss most of the rest of the season. Shame, great player but just too injury prone.
  6. Thats the first thing that came to my mind too
  7. I agree I think with Wilson’s injury that position becomes absolutely vital even though we know how awful central defence is. The missed chances v Man Utd show how crucial having a striker is. We could play Watford (and Leeds for that matter) off the park but if there’s nobody to finish the chances.....
  8. Looking forward to going. Any kind of win at the moment can only help morale.
  9. Be great to have at least Trippier and another striking option for Watford.
  10. Watford are really struggling and Leeds haven’t looked great either and we play both next month. With key signings hopefully in early for these games I’m actually feeling quite confident. The two home games straight after v Everton and Villa massive too. These four games with a revitalised squad please ?
  11. Yeah I’d say so, can’t imagine we’ll that much of a turnaround in time for then
  12. S fingers crossed it’s not serious but it sounds like Wilson could miss a major chunk of the rest of the season. Need two strikers now really.
  13. Totally agree. If we can bring some players in sharpish in Jan, the matches in Jan and Feb give us a decent chance. The fact as diabolical as we have been and aren’t completely dead in the water with the transfer window still to come gives me some hope.
  14. Yeah I got one top of the first tier of the Milburn between Leazes. Had already bought a ticket for Norwich match (east stand) but looked and saw tickets for this sat so thought why not.
  15. Looking forward to this. Just bought a “posh” seat for £58, thought fvck it when I saw there were tickets available. Not been for 2.5yrs. Should be a good atmosphere but intrigued to see how we respond to the situation and adapt. Will take time to adjust though.
  16. I remember the Telegraph and a few others in town used to show 3pm matches on Saturdays. Do any pubs still do that? Cheers
  17. i was listening to Hawksbee and Jacobs earlier and the European football pundit they had on (Andy someone) was saying he thought both Favre and Emery would be very good choices. Favre seemingly can get quick results. Emery seems like he’d be a bit of a Rafa type character, massive attention to detail.
  18. With Wilson back and ASM looking lively I think we’ll be alright but god only knows what’ll happen next season if we stay up, more of the same shite I guess.
  19. Totally agree, it’s pretty clear that he’s completely lost the dressing room. It’s an international break, has to happen because they’re down as it is with this clown. Removing him gives them a chance
  20. Completely agree. What’s the point in us staying in the premier league anyway when we have to endure the farce that we’re seeing. I’m completely apathetic to it all now
  21. Imagine an “im Spartacus” moment where each player stands up at the training ground saying they are the mole ?
  22. Yes Sunday is really a sliding doors moment. If they win I think they’ll go on and cobble together enough results/points particularly as Pool could beat Fulham. The gap could be 6. Lose and the implosion will continue
  23. It’s absurd that should we lose against West Brom that he wouldn’t be sacked
  24. I think we’re pretty much done. The injuries combined with the complete cluelessness and lack of leadership from the manager will see us down. You could argue there’s still a chance to remove him and get someone in to gee the lads up and at least give them some clarity. Won’t happen though.
