Cisse banging in one or two of his "specials" would go down nicely tomorrow -

I'd agree, but if we sit back hoof it second half again they will murder us. Definitely. In fact when was the last time we really pushed on in the 2nd half in a prem game at St James? Man City? QPR? Good shouts on both but I was thinking more in terms of when we've been leading. -
Fucking love it if this shower went down. The media love in with shit stirring 'Arry is simply unbelieveable

What was he saying?

Well there's a 2 week break after Spurs before the Southampton match so that would make sense really. As someone mentioned in this thread they won't want to risk him with a run out at Spurs unless he's absolutely 100%. They simply can't afford another set back like the Fulham one so you'd hope they'll be extra cautious and use that extra 2 weeks.

Cabaye's form and Sissoko's power/pace in midfield gives me some confidence for this game. -

It's not confirmed no but he was taken off on 77 mins because of the ankle injury and will be assessed. More than likely will play though I reckon. Physioroom.com has him out - no date for return You can't really rely on Physioroom to be honest. No return date relates more to a lack of knowledge about the diagnosis rather than "it's serious so he's out for a long time" -
Total sport saying he's back in the squad for the Chelsea match. He should play left of a front 3 instead of Jonas imo if he's fit again. Not as an out and out winger but his skills on the ball and passing ability offer much much more.

From West London sport on Mata: Juan Mata will be checked over by the Chelsea medical team after suffering an ankle injury in the 2-2 draw at Reading. The Blues playmaker was substituted on 77 minutes with his team 2-0 up at the Madejski Stadium. Reading, who had failed to register a shot on target, subsequently scored two late goals to snatch a draw. However, Benitez revealed the decision to bring on Yossi Benayoun for Mata was made because the Spaniard had picked up a knock. Benitez said: “He has a problem with his ankle, we will have to see the doctor. It was a little painful but we will have to see tomorrow.” -
That's a good shout Skirge, especially as it was a hamstring injury too. m'biwa should start because he is better suited to the way chelsea play. Fwiw I'd rather see Mbiwa start on sat too. He's a lump of a bloke but also has the recovery pace needed to add that extra bit of security at the back.

Remember Rennie sending Shearer off off v Villa. Ian Taylor almost started laughing in the background when he saw the red card come out. -
