We need the competition for places a decent squad brings as well as the ability to cover injuries and rotate players to keep the sharpness in the side. I'm sure both Marv and Anita will feature prominantly again this season.
-
Another one I'm glad we missed out on.
-
The exciting thing is teams won't be able to double up on him. You've got Gouffran's pace, the power and pace of Sissoko and Debuchy down the right. Much more for teams to think about which means he'll probably get more space and players left isolated against him 1 v 1.

Condifent, fair play I think there's a sniff of a result for us here, still a bloody tough fixture though. What will be interesting is if we match them well, they don't have it all their own way and get frustrated (the fans included). There's pressure on them to win with the race for 4th place so that's a factor. I'd happily take a draw at the moment but we're an entirely different side to face then only a few weeks ago which makes it interesting. One or two games this season they've looked awkward. Draws with Qpr, ManU and Norwich in Jan. We have some real momentum right now. Can see an utter destruction all this pitty patty s*** AVB lays out. Whatever the outcome it wouldn't surprise me to see Sissoko cause absolute havoc again to be honest, he looks that dangerous

Dear oh dear, that is tragic

It's a great listen tonight

Bale is on fire at the moment and will give us all sort of problems but our midfield can really give them something to think about too. Sissoko is a nightmarish type of player to pick up because he's an absolutel powerhouse who can finesse it hovering between midfield and attack. Gouffran offers us a real threat with his speed too.

38 points has meant safety 7 of the last 10 seasons and 40 has meant safety each of the last 8 seasons.

Obviously I know he´s a good RB either wise he wouldn´t, for example, play in the euros. But are you not allowed to questioning someone? Evra and Vidic came good, but I´m sure a lot of player even has been labeled a great player after a few games and then just disappeared. It´s up to them/him to prove us wrong. There's analysing a performance but then there's having the understanding that players take time to adapt to a new league. The Evra/Vidic example simply reinforces that. Prove you wrong? Do you go to matches/watch on tv hoping that players will confirm your doubts? I certainly don't.

Official: Yoan Gouffran signs new contract with Goztepe

He turns well and seems to hold the ball up well too. You also seem him popping up all over the pitch to win the ball back. Great work ethic and raw pace never does any harm. -
Manchester United fans questioned Evra and Vidic when they first arrived...................
-
Debuchy's been caught out here and there but he's just arrived in the league man To say he's a poor defender is ridiculous (in my opinion obviously) He's already shown some genuine quality.

Anything for us next weekend is a bonus really but atleast those around us have hard fixtures too if we do lose at Spurs. Mackems got Arsenal too
-
The ability to counter and hit teams on the break with the power and pace of Sissoko, Gouffran and HBA
-
Thought he was solid yesterday, very calm on the ball.
-
That's exactly what I was thinking watching the highlights.
-
Absolutely. The movement and passing ability of Cabaye and the power and pace of Sissoko, Gouffran and HBA.
-
Looking forward to hearing Gary Bennett on total sport now after his recent cockyness regarding league position. Ando just keeps quiet apart from saying "things can turn around quickly in this league Gary"

Newcastle United 3 - 2 Chelsea - 02/02/13 - post-match orgasm from page 58

Always interesting to see fans true colours come through. My Chelsea mate really struggled to come to terms with that loss, lots of niggly comments on facebook, simply couldn't just take it on the chin. Absolutely pathetic response to losing such a great match, fuck off. As for Benitez, christ he's unbearable to listen to isn't he Excuse central -
3/4 We looked an entirely different side today, confident, pressing, movement, pace. There's a long way to go but I think we've shown there's enough quality to pick up a decent number of wins from now on esp with HBA to come back. What do you need from now on to stay up, 4 wins and a couple of draws?
