Paqueta skill set wise is exactly what we need to replace Longstaff, probs a case of people just putting 2+2 together though. Where’s this low fee coming from though?

Paqueta has been found innocent, no idea what his character is like, I guess he’d be here with his buddy. He’d be ideal for low blocks and can help run midfields too.

If we were to get Wissa, Sesko, maybe an attacking midfielder, new CB then I think people would relax a bit, I certainly would. But then recent events doesn’t instill confidence they’d get the deals done 😂

I think I’ll go however Howe has the ability to potentially pull it round so that he stays one year and gives us more time to plan for his departure, new contract with release clause, gentleman’s agreement, call it what you will. The issue however is the not going on tour hasn’t done him any favours in the eyes of many.

His agent has probably advised him to do what he’s done recently.

Problem is if he does go it’s not going to happen quickly which fucks us in terms of getting players in. If he was to go and we got: Sesko, Wissa, a new top CB, new solid midfielder, maybe an attacking midfielder etc then I’d at least feel better about things going into the season. Can’t see us getting all those that’s the issue.

I don’t agree regarding Llambias, just comes across a bit powder puff for me. A bit of a nothing character.

They have Ekitike who could potentially a lot wide right and they don’t have a natural centre forward. Also if a player like Isak becomes available then it’s no surprise they’d want him. I still think there as durability issue with him but there’s no doubting his class.

Key for me is if Pool want him, we stand steadfast on our valuation of him.

Yes I think he’s off to Liverpool too mate, official bid will be imminent. Agreed he could have handled it far better than he has…..agent will massively be pushing things.

Yes a contract promise being taken away and lack of summer signings has definitely helped fuel Isak’s angst.

Yes those two positions are absolutely crucial now to make us more proactive and dynamic. Why Eales hasn’t been replaced is beyond me.

Yeah Howe is just colossal with his communication and calmness even in the most tricky situations. Club needs to get its arse in gear behind the scenes to support him.

While I wholeheartedly agree with this, we are screwed from being number 1 in this PSR world. When other clubs can offer double the wages we’re always going to be at risk of losing top players to other teams and players having their heads turned.
