  1. Money is obviously going to come into it, but there’s other factors like moving regions, family comes into it I guess. I’m still confident this might happen, he’ll have been told he’ll be a key signing and will be getting game time. There’s plenty about the club including playing at St James and that atmosphere which is appealing together with the ‘project’ being sold.

Assuming we don’t have ludicrous injuries again next year and there’s no reason we should the players will be able to rest and recover fully and prepare more for each league game. We have to make that factor count and I think Howe will. Wiht Tonali coming back and hopefully some key signings I think the team will look really strong next year.

There will be pressure to finish in the top four and win a cup and rightly so to a point. I think we have a strong chance to finish in the top four next year and that would really help us consolidate the club and squad again in next summers transfer window towards being a regular top 4-6 team.
  4. I think Krafth is fine to come in for a few games not if Tino was out for a long time. Again this is another position where it’ll be interesting to see what happens this summer.
  5. Wouldn’t surprise me at all to be honest. Fitness issues aside recently his head seems to have been wayward at various points this year too relating to possible ‘off field issues’. Still has a role to offer here for sure but could well be away particularly as we have no European football so less pressure on the players regarding number of games and therefore Tino could play a lot.
  6. Wonder if Leeds go up the Longstaff link might get stronger
  7. FFS was meant to comment that at least a few contracts are running out this summer at least.
  8. Need to be backed better in the transfer window this summer.
  9. There could be something in this I agree. That being said Schar probably only has next season with us and there’s always going to be injuries so I’m still fairly confident he’ll sign.

The players and Howe have probably learnt more this season than the others, I think they’ll use it to kick on.

I want us to be less of a soft touch again away from home and I want to see us being more ruthless both in mentality and clinically. The Liverpool home game was a prime example. Not really knowing how to close it out and floundering then getting nervous. But that also comes down to personnel with someone like Miggy fluffing his lines with finishing or failing to put in the killer pass (from memory) to finish Liverpool off.
  12. ha fair ? I am genuinely excited about next season though. I think we’ll be really strong and have a great chance of a cup and top four. Assuming we get top four and there’s talk of PSR rules being relaxed slightly, I think we could really kick on again next summer. I just hope he develops us in the big games, winning those that really count and that away form has got to change.
  13. Im pretty sure he’s learnt loads this season and will develop even more as a manager. He was starting to show how he has a plan B tactics wise. I do agree though I think he needs to be braver with somw decisions at times. I think we’ll have a really strong season next year, hopefully we get a bit luckier with injuries, cup draws and league fixtures too.
  14. I don’t think qualifying for ELC will have any impact on Isak’s situation (unless he agitates a move). Regarding Bruno it might muddy the waters a bit. We've signed quality players before without Europe and we will again. It probably does affect some targets but all in all I don’t think it’ll be a terrible disaster. For the overall club development it definitely would’ve been better though. Being entirely optimistic our chances of top four are probably strengthened next season.
  15. It’s on us really, faltered at the finish. Winning big games when it matters isn’t in our DNA yet. Man U have had the shittest team in years and still won two trophies.
  16. If you fail to put Brighton away at home and don’t turn up at old Trafford then it leaves the door open……….
  17. Exactly, he’d had an ACLR in each knee
  18. Someone has raised a valid point above that it’s hard to find someone who is prepared to be a number 2 behind the main striker. Hes also a real threat in the air as a target main and with the chances we’d create he’d probably score a fair few goals. It’s certainly a risky signing but there is some degree of logic. Ofcourse if we also bring in a RW who can also play up top (like Bowen can though highly unlikely he comes) then it certainly makes more sense. If they go big on a RW then it’s going to be difficult to get a top second expensive striker in so financially it makes sense in that situation
  19. Completely pointless result in a trip which is highly questionable. That said losing 8-0 ffs? ? I obviously haven’t seen any of it but you have to be turbo levels of shit to concede 8 and not even score. That’s an embarrassment even if the fixture was ultimately pointless.
  20. Agreed but I suppose it might relate to how much we have to spend just playing devils advocate. “If” say we did go for someone like Bowen who would cost an arm and leg then maybe that’s why there’s the link. Agree with you though
  21. Thinking about it the only way I see DCL coming in is if it’s cheap as chips (relatively speaking) and someone like Bowen comes in who can play as striker and guarantees goals. It’s still a risk though replacing one crock with another.
  22. You might well be right. I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if it happened to be fair.
  23. Where do people see him playing next season when he comes back in, as an 8 or deeper lying?
