He’s an excellent striker to the point where a forward line of Gordon, Wissa and Elanga would scare anybody. The issue is champions league and an entire season if he’s our only true striker.

I mean I get why he might be miffed about the lack of a new contract and I get why he’d want to move to Liverpool. But to disrespect the manager who’s brought him on and all the fans, it’s completely ridiculous. Isn’t that the case for any player really? Every signing carries a risk. My point remains that there will have been lots of thought and analysis on previous injuries prior to making an approach. Im a physio and seem to be one of the most relaxed regarding injuries ok here which is ironic.

Honestly people overly stressing about previous injuries, don’t you think the medical team look into this endlesssly prior to a transfer and he has a medical including scans when he signs ffs

Whether people believe him is another thing obviously but he can say “well actually I didn’t say that”. He’s using the media to try and force the move but if it doesn’t happen there aren’t actually any quotes from him saying “I definitely want out” even if his actions say it loud and clear. I think the issue is he’s only just recently signed a long contract and is on massive wages. I actually do think Howe could really improve him but it does feel very desperate if we’re going to lump 80m on him.
