Only time I left early was in about the 83rd or 84th minute when we were 3-0 down to Watford on a Baltic day in the winter. Was chilled to the bone, feet everything š

To be fair it did feel like Bournemouth had one of those perfect days where everything came off. Thatās not to knock their performance but they had a dream day whereas we were the complete opposite. That being said the way they played stopped us in our tracks and led to even more errors, hats off to them. It was their pace, crispness of passing and sharpness that impressed me.

I do think we looked lethargic and not at it. Maybe they were a bit jaded maybe even a bit complacent expecting a win, who knows. They definitely got a shock the way Bournemouth started and then never really got to grips with the game. When you have that number of players off their game and on the flip side everything the opposition does they do well youāre going to get it handed to you in this league. That game yesterday raised two things, our lack of pace at CB which has to be addressed in the summer and still out lack of depth. Weāre still essentially relying on the same players in the same set up. If you look at Pool for example they can bring in a completely different look up front and freshen things up, we canāt. The lads have done brilliant recently and it feels this was one of those days. We can rightly call it out as a really poor performance but itās overboard to start analysing things too far. Maybe this defeat will serve as a handy reminder for them and actually help with the matches coming up.

Great to see Arsenal slip up this evening š

As disappointing as that is so many of our recent games and wins been the exact opposite to this. Itās extremely frustrating to lose like that today but we were so off it does also feel like a massive off day. Iām more interested to see how we respond v Saints which is a must win.

Exactly this. Our squad is still pretty thin to me in terms of who can come in and rotate particularly the front 3.

If and itās a big if he can actually be fit enough to get back on the pitch regularly he could well play a part in qualifying for Europe. Anything is a bonus though, the bloke is literally permanently injured and hasnāt proved for a year he can stay fit. Hes going to limited to 30 minute cameos even if he does come back.

People forget that sometimes in sport you lose unfortunately š

Must win if we want top four -
š Yeah itās not like football fans completely flip flop and over react with the disappointment of a loss
-
This is the worry that if things go a bit stale we are risking losing champions league opportunity.
-
Its often how you respond to these result which shows more about a teams character.

Aye like many, terrible

Theyāve been excellent today and weāve been so poor. Take it on the chin and move on.
-
Christ weāve been so flat today

All over us at the start here

Perfect blend of power and finesse, just waiting for a power headed for thunderbolt drive from the edge of the box!

Think Isak, Tonali, Gordon hopefully swings it for us. Tough match though. -
Yeah he was very good in that game, did miss a couple very good chances from memory. Hold up play and movement excellent.

Yeah seems so. Wilson is aiming for end of the month/early Feb but god knows whether he can get/stay fit. The irony is if he can stay fit heāll probably help secure champions league. The flip side is itāll only take a few injuries and weāre bang in trouble.

Yeah potentially -
No idea if itāll actually happen but I donāt really have an issue with DCL coming in as a number 2 striker if itās not costing fortunes. Heād probably do well under Howe, would benefit from an change and his fitness/injury record seems to have improved. Wilson will surely be away and Iād rather more money spent on RW. Pretty laid back either way on this one though.
