  1. Is Enrique just out of favour at Liverpool or is he injured? Would love to have him back here tbf. solid defender with strength to complement Coloccini. Would love to have him back.
  2. this. Unfortunately to me it seems like we haven't progressed at all tactically.
  3. Because they was pumping the ball, Perch got better aerial ability. And Anita has been playing almost every game so far.
  4. Don't really know what to get out of his tactics, selections etc. lately. We play like shit but individual skill shines through. He tries to hard to accomodate certain individuals in the team. Strikers aren't working at all, our right hand side can't attack and midfield lacks bite and combativeness. Is he a soft person or is he just tactically inept? It's also big question marks over team fitness and fighting spirit at times. Having a naturally combative tiote is hopefully going to risen that part of the team, but really we need a plan going forward.
  5. His lust for blood every match this season, man he plays like a man posessed. A flair player should be a lazy player, HBA makes a mockery out of the type.
  6. Our right hand side is pretty much impotent. Can't get a ball in at all it seems. None of them are fast enough to get enough space to cross with the leftie, and none got a leftie. Jonas seems to have lost all belief he had in passing players theese days aswell. makes us pretty much reliant on HBA and Cabaye to create chances. As Cabaye is central and HBA got his best foot inside teams really just have to sit deep and deny space in behind to block any chance of us scoring tbf.
  7. Every team got a player that makes the team "tick" and for us that player is Coloccini, when he's back we'll see how it works.
  8. Tbf didn't really think williamson had that a good game. He was okay when the ball came in the air, but apart from that he was all over the place. There was no communication between Williamson and Anita on their 1v1 situation, one of them should have been covering that opportunity.
  9. It's a fantastic position to be in, in terms of giving younger players the needed experience to take the next step. And the fact we are in europe makes the club a better prospect for the new players that might arrive. Thinking two or even three years ahead it's more important to actually participate in the tournament then going all in and not be in it the next year.
  10. it's just a careful selection of quotes from yesterday to make it seem more extreme.
  11. Get the cotton wool out, we badly need steven for this one! *bad memories*
  12. For me it's more about how both Cisse and Ba wants to be the main man, and gets kind of greedy as bieffect of that. If they would play more for eachother they would function alot better as a pairing.
  13. It's a point won yesterday, was expecting a loss as Goodison will be a hard place to come this year.
  14. Tbf Everton was there at the first half, our team wasn't at all. Second half we we're better, Everton didn't get to move it around at freewill. But tbf, anita seems way to lightweight to play in a bog standard 4-4-2 as a CM alongside Cabaye. We need tiote in there to show some muscles.
  15. tough game and was expecting a loss, was certain we would come out looking better the second half, but I really felt we took a good grip around the match. Especially playing 2 up front made it alot harder for them to play out from the back. Hatem was especially frustrating, a few misplaced passes, his tricks didn't come off, and topped it off with a chance I was so sure he would slot between his legs. Tbf I thought Ba would start up top today as he's been sharper then Cisse in the first matches, both in build up and infront of goal. His fitness has been a problem all his time here though, so could have played a part in the decision.
  16. how many years left on his contract? isn´t it just 2 years or so?
  17. The team really suffers trying to accomodate both Ba and Cisse. It's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. But the main reason is, they more often then not move in eachothers way. And neither of them seems like a carrier of the ball, and neither seems happy to play deeper and hold the balls spreading it around. So what we end up with is two strikers trying to create for their own up top whilst linkup play between midfield and attack seems non existant.
  18. The fact he even has to do that just says it all really. The team just isn't there at all, Colo seems like one of the few in form players, alongside Ben Arfa, whom might be abit unconsistent but thats to expect from a player trying to do it all. Cabaye hasn't been himself at all, we really lack tiotes steel in midfield, he's such a crucial part with the muscles and not all little wimps there. Jonas albeit doing his buisness he doesn't have the pace anymore to carry the ball all the way to attack. And the Ba/Cisse thing is really starting to get redicoulus, if they can't play together, they can't. They keep scounder chances for eachother finishing when the other is in clearly better positions, firing shots way out etc. Get one of them up top and more build up play with bigi tiote cabaye midfield, HBA and Marveaux out wide. Let anita and santon bomb while our flair players probes for an finishing move.
  19. Think he had a terrific debut tbf. was neat and tidy and the ball all the time picking out players for passes in good position all the time. Alot of the time he forced the villa game out wide where they didn't really want to be aswell. And he's 18, by the time he's getting 23-24 he will be a class player. Allready ahead of the likes of Gosling for me.
  20. We didn´t play particularly well before the first national break last year either
  21. Allways more nervous before theese games, were I expect a win.
  22. You mean, pay for his flight to sign for sunderland?
  23. In fact, think tottenham is weakened, Adebayor is going to have his famous 2nd season syndrome at new club. Van der Vaar IS better then the Iceland boy and they just lost the glue in the club. On another note they also lost their best and most influental defender due to retirement. Stats from last season had them down with almost no losses/goals against with King back there versus somebody else. Everton, now they have vastly improved, seems to have added the goals they have been lacking for years, Fellaini keep taking steps towards the top of the world. They just seems to be improving left and right after another cash injection from the wealthy manchesters. Fulham, really unsure tbf. they gained a good forward, but lost the main goalscorer from the past two seasons. Yet again they lost Dembele aswell wich is a huge loss as he was integrated and was pretty much running things on the pitch. Personally, they are weakened. Liverpool, might have gained a new philosophy, but they lost Kuyt and Bellamy, two players who actually put the ball in the net. Loaned out Carroll and are a injury away from serious crisis up top. Think we really are dependant on Ba/Cisse having a good season, but we've gained a few players back from injury, so very uncertain, my guess is fight for 7th again and repeat buisness. But wouldn't be surprised if we were fighting a place or two higher by christmas if things go our way and ba or cisse finds that tremendous scoring form again.
