Work beeing a hindreance for me following this awsomeness thight. Brief me, pretty please?

The most pressing needs are beeing sorted out it seems. Would really like more players who offers something different to what we have allready to mix things up a little.

As people said, think this is a signing we need. A runner/hardworker up top we allready have in Gouffran, and he stretches defences quite well. But more of a plan B we didn't.

Leaving Ben Arfa out just made this match alot less interesting.

With this lad and Bafetimbi I can see us moving back up into top10. Goals should come again and we will have an adequate backup plan if our number one plan fails. Hopefully Pardew will put some more emphasis on the attacking training regime aswell.

Gouffran was the best. Debuchy was good but was often caught out defensively and it made out alot of awkward situations. Trying to be cocky when defending rather often.

Can see where it is comming from though. Him beeing big, strong and quite direct was a perfect match for Cisse as the holdup forward we lacked in Pardews eyes.

Gomis has never played outside of France yet so his wages should be easier to negotiate... Remy's are going to be the sticking point now that he's on big money at QPR... Playing in France might be, but believe Lyon got alot of money after having monopoly on the league title for so many years.

A good fee if thats true and shouldn't really hamper alot of other negotiations. Allthough wage wise I believe both Gomis and Remy would want a fair share.

Selling the clubs main attraction is ludicrous.

Actually think this is the sort of player that can power in 10 goals a season if played correctly, doing the counter attacking stuff which he's really good at and arriving in the box at the correct time. Sad thing is, he often wandered off wide in our games last year because of our lack of width. Keep him centrally and he will score and create a havoc in their defences.

Just looked at a few videos from last autumn and really hope he comes back with the same intent this year, hopefully we'll get a better return this time around. Out of our players he was the one leading us forward that period.

It's quite obvious that the club is split, recruitment staff told to do one thing whilst manager thinks otherwise. What Ashley has done by giving Pardew a second chance to restore things is a failing. Several people specialize in different things, and getting a team to play pass and move football, direct counterattacking along the floor with taking calculated risks forward isn't one of Pardews strong points.

We need more players who's best without the ball, not can openers. Marveaux, HBA, Cabaye, even Sissoko seems more comfortable when carrying then doing the runs themself.

we lack presence and hold up play in the final third, and a ballplayer. Cisse is neither, he is a pure finisher. Thats all good and dandy if we had a person who could force our attacks into the final third and hold up the ball for the midfield to get in there. Right now that man is Shola, and I think we all can agree on him not being good enough.

Understand the substitution of Gouffran. When he works he works at 100% top speed, and he does that alot. Offcourse thats tireing, and when he's been left on after around that 70-75 min mark you can see it has taken it's toll on him. Absolute love him as a player though and has been a huge asset and something we've definitely lacked before he came. That one person pulling the defence left, right and backwards creating alot of space, sorrowly we aren't exactly using it properly yet. When he first came here I actually thought he was too withdrawn with the ball at his feet and seldom looked to dribble and try to take a player on, but it has improved once he settled more in the squad and he really seem to show his skills more and more.

I hope that's not just PR on Pardew's part, and that this has been a season of acclimatising for Anita. At the moment, I feel we have four players - Tiote, Anita, Bigi and Perch - who should all be competing for one place, so at least one is surplus to requirements. Anita has to show that he's got something additional to offer, because defensively he's struggled and he hasn't shown enough in attack. He hasnt been given the chance to adapt to any position, with a full strength team out there. I firmly believe that with the likes of HBA, Sissoko, Cabaye, Marveaux, Gouffran around him, he would be immense in that deep role for us. His passing is quality. Really think bigi should be competing for a place higher up the pitch, more slick with the ball then defensive abilities.

he was up there quite a few times, and tbf, think he thrives more in a free role then having the responsibility of beeing the one man behind the striker.

For a defender with his technique he really is sloppy making easy passes at times.

Pardew defenitely has to show next season that he can grow and improve into the role. He far too often resolve to negative "do not loose" tactics. Wich mostly just ends up with us loosing the ball in more dangerous positions and leading to us beeing heavily pressured. He needs to show more guts moving forward and in defence. He's at a fairly big club now, not someone instilled on fighting for survival.
