All the people on here criticising him for doing too much or not offering anything for the team, will be the same one's in the crowd who were urging and screaming for him to pass it as he danced past 4 Blackburn players before hitting his 'thunderbastard', then jizzed over how good that goal was then went back and jumped back on the bandwagon of blaming him at every opportunity possible once things didn’t go his way. Shameful, it really is.
  2. From a Rovers fan... Got a 5 rating in the Sun today
  3. We can all speculate and maybe hope Ameobi won't play up top on his own but we all know he will. Along with Gosling replacing Cabaye.
  4. Really though? If your s***... fans don't like you just because your a 'good lad' and don't want you to be sold.
  5. Cost us the game at Norwich, he was playing alongside Danny Simpson at centre half ffs, Santon had only just fitted into the left back role and also had a shocker and we had Taylor right back, i don't think it was just Perch that cost us the game at Norwich in all fairness.
  6. its just extremely frustrating, as we only have 2 fit CBs. One (god forbid colo) gets injured,we're f***ed. It could be the difference between getting into europe But on the flip side of things if Ba got injured we were left with shola which definitely hinder our progress to Europe. I would much rather have a striker in than a CB, we signed Perch for cover from a championship side and who is to say this lad is any better? I can't say because i've never noticed him before, Forest fans liked Perch when we signed him, Watford fans seem to like Mariappa? Perch gets far too much stick on here by Newcastle fans because he had a nightmare of a start to his career for us and will never shake that off.
  7. This forum never fails to suprise me with some of the negativity that comes from it. We lose our striker on the last day of the windew last year and the forum goes mental, a year on we sign a new number 9 and don't lose any key men and the forum still isn't happy because we never signed a fekin 2 million pound championship centre halve.
  8. Where is this defoe 14 million bid coming from? At work and can't see anything on Sky Sports website? Hope it's true though.

    Alan Smith

What if he looked superb, any chance of an contract extention with slightly reduced wages?

And he can motivate don't forget
  11. They already said the striker was bought now as he became available, they were going to buy him in the summer but realised they could get him. It was never a choice between ST/CB Yeah that was the plan but i get the feeling if we hadn't of signed Cisse for a nice chunk of money we wouldn't be scraping the bottom of the barrel with 1.5 million bids for an essential area to our team.

Anyone care to argue with them stats... How many has he conceded?
  13. Would everyone have been happy not to sign a striker but paid 8-10 million on CB instead? Think Pardew caught us all off guard by saying he wasn't interested in signing a striker then pays 8 million for Cisse. I'm personally happy we've got a striker in before a CB even though we do need both but if it was one or the other im happy with Cisse.

What's more frustrating is when a bloke with the incredible talent that he has, can't take the game by the scruff of the neck against a very average championship team. It's games like that I want him to step up and show what he can do. Dunno, does football really work like that? Brighton aren't that bad a side, and any well-organised and motivated football team can make it difficult for better teams to play. And HBA was also handicapped by the presence of Shola and Best ahead of him. I know he didn't have a great game, but I'm not sure what you're expecting him to do. The whole team failed to overcome Brighton. Shut up man, he is supposed to dribble past 5-6 players then belt it in all the time! Or at least one 'Thunderbastard' off a strike! We aren't asking for much.......
  15. Those bastards let me down on two accumulators. Can you explain they're exit? I couldn't even find the opposition in tables. The opposition plays in Segunda B. Espanyol just got indulgent and set off to defend their advantage. Regarding if we were lucky yesterday, possibly, but we too missed a couple clear chances to put the tie to bed in the second half. Luck is always even-handed in the long run. Personally I think the referee was awful (Teixeira Vitienes is a terrible ref), but we can complain as much as Real Madrid. I think i just feel robbed as i had Madrid to qualify, took 2-2 in the first leg and 3-2 madrid last night. So close yet so far away. Was enjoyable as ever regardless though. Mind games, passion, class, play acting, referee's...all just adds to the excitement of the games.
  16. Do you feel you were let off the hook slightly? Madrid had 2/3 glorious chances to take the lead in the tie. Then you's socred then Alves hit an absolute screamer to seemingly put the tie out of sight. Obviously Diarra blatently should have had a second yellow card but the reaction of the Barcelona players was awful, Puyol one of the main culprits. Then obviously in the dying minutes Madrid eventually got the red card which never was but never had any effect on the final outcome.
  17. Perch gets needless amount of criticism on these threads.
  18. No chance of that happening. 6pm kick off
  19. yeah but theres an obvious answer to why we signed a striker which i pointed out, its not like we lied at all tbf. As i said all these links are s**** basically.....Jay Rod ffs as if we would sign another striker Just like waiting for the bus, you wait for one for ages then two come along at once....
