  1. Okay, What do you think Tim Krul could achieve in football realistically? If you could put yourself in his position, what do you think he thinks he can achieve? Can NUFC at present match his ambition or help him to get there? Or is the answer to Tim Krul's conundrum to move elsewhere? Does Tim Krul have a conundrum? He's playing every week in a top league in front of 50k fans and he's keeping goal for the Netherlands. I doubt he wakes up every morning gutted about how his career is going. Hmm, you know who that sounds an awful lot like? Yohan Cabaye. Fuck all like it. We've brought Krul through the ranks, he's progressed with us as he has with Dutch side, from under 18's, going up a level each time. Everytime Krul has been linked away, his quotes have never once said anything negative, not even a hint he might consider a move. Whereas Cabaye, would say he's happy here but hinted a lot he would leave. Krul has never moaned about the board or spoke badly of Pardew or anything to suggest he thinks his career is wasting away. I think he's one of the few players who genuinely loves being here and would only leave were a massive club come in for him.
  2. I fancy him to score. With his record against these, his mentality will be on a different scale to anyone else. Even when he was brought on in 2012 and saved us, he probably felt he could do that.

Been here since he was 17, settled in life, playing week in week out for a club he loves, and playing for his country. Obviously if Barcelona or whoever come in for him, he would leave but that doesn't mean to say he's wasting away here, far from it. We've been brilliant with Krul and just as he has with us and i'm sure he appreciates that more than thinking he's wasting away his career.
  4. Tim Krul wasting away here, fucking hell
  5. 3 defenders, a striker who can't score and Marveaux who couldn't care less is not a good bench. Instead of moaning about it, go searching for a team outside the top 6 who you would swap for instead of criticising our players. Outside the top 6? I'd probably swap for Man Utd's squad. Sorry, i meant top 6 Man Utd/Man City/Chelsea/Arsenal/Spurs/Liverpool... Yes obviously i would swap Man Utd's though for ours.

I am not moaning at all, I am just pointing out the fact you are a clueless t*** when it comes to football. Aye point well made, i'd swap our squad for their squad now actually

  8. On paper they are the best, by a distance. Well bar Taylor for you, he's best on the pitch and paper for you.
  9. And all that is actually forgetting the mighty Willo
  10. Krul Debuchy Mbiwa Colo Santon Anita Tiote Ben Arfa Sissoko Gouffran Remy Bench: Alnwick, Haidara, S.Taylor, Bigirimana, Marveaux, Sammy, Cisse. Then you've got back up like: Eliot, Dummett, R.Taylor, Gosling, Obertan, Shola...with Jonas/Ferguson/Campbell/Vuckic/Abeid out on loan. Outside the top 6, there's not a squad i'd be looking to swap.
  11. We've a great squad according to you. I look forward to seeing how our great squad get on. See how they compete with the other great squads. Nestling among the other great squads come May. Hope you're right. You obviously have every confidence and i sincerely hope you're right. I don't think we need Cabaye to finish top 8, think we can cope without him and bring Ben Arfa in to the fold. How many clubs outside the top 6 could remove their best attacking player then replace with someone like Ben Arfa? We've got a good sqaud, not great the likes of Spurs but it's good and i wouldn't be swapping it for anyone outside of top 6, not even Everton. I'd swap their manager mind you
  12. People still don't accept with have a good squad like Lotus though. Which is going to make him disagree with your point even more regarding Ashley and the squad he has assembled.
  13. Often waiting 2/3 windows for a replacement to arrive is infuriating for a fan. Waiting for the best deal possible, we could have signed Debuchy for 8 in the summer, wait a few of months then sign for 6 instead. That's how Ashley will always look it, is that good or bad? Opinion would differ between fans.
  14. That's where everyone would like to be but how many clubs have the middle ground? Quite a few actually. Look at Spurs for one. They spend what they earn on sales. Yep, agree. They spend and sell well. I think Arsenal and Spurs buy and sell very well but they are also known to be selling their best players and not tieing them down to new deals. There's not many clubs i envy on how they do their transfer business though, just frustrating here as we are in a position to push on with the team we have and it's not looking like we will bring anyone in. Yet saying this i think we will surprise a few people in the summer with a couple of top signings.
  15. It's not really a myth when they've said though is it? They've said priority is the league, not the cups. That doesn't mean to say they are ordering Pardew to throw away matches in the cup. We gave Man City and Benfica very good games and you could see the effort was there from the players. To say we didn't give it a go and weren't interested in winning is nonsense. Who at St James' after 70 minutes against Cardiff thought we were going out? Looked like we were in the hat for the next round until Eliot had a mare.
  16. That's where everyone would like to be but how many clubs have the middle ground?
  17. Suppose everyone would have different views on how we should do business. I'd just prefer to be spending money that we can afford rather than just sink deeper into debt which we were with Shepheard.
  18. Seems pretty obvious, like. Can't adapt all my posts for the likes of Brett. The thing that makes me laugh about the point you made is its not really debatable. I don't agree, i'd rather have Ashley's transfer policy than Shepheard's. Happy we are gone of the days of spunking huge ways on average players and looking for marquee signings we couldn't really afford whilst being in debt. Least with Ashley we know we a good footing financially and he's not going sink the ship like it was with Shepheard. I hate Ashley the most at the club but i don't think his transfer policy is as bad as people make out, just frustrating. He was going to sign the likes of Gouffran/Sissoko in the summer but because of the relegation battle, he paid extra to get them in early. He doesn't need to pay extra for Cabella/Gomis or whoever they have lined up. I feel the squad is still good enough for top 8 even without Cabaye even though it does dent our chances of a top 6 finish greatly, i'm not sure we would have got in there even with Cabaye. Bramble was no more highly thought of for promise than what Mbiwa is. Both young defenders who can play football and have moved to us for a sizeable fee. It’s not like Ashley hasn’t got a set up where he’s not looking for young talent, if anything, that’s what he’s striving to look for. Upgrading the youth facilities to try and get home grown players in and looking into the French market for young players like Haidara on the cheap.
  19. This. Hard enough hearing him stick up for Taylor, taking things to a new level with this.
  20. That the going rate for a kidnap?
  21. There's no doubt Shola has presence against this bunch. Even their fans know how shit he is but think he's always going to score past them. Even Ameobi mentally will feel much stronger. 7 goals in 12 games against them and he's rescued us before. Even if Shola hasn't scored in a 100 billion minutes of football, I still actually fancy him to grab one on Saturday.
  22. Yeah, you need the other players to something with the ball though. That's my issue! So your issue isn't with him?

The last time they were this confident, we thumped them 5-1 I've got no problem with their confidence, i like it too.
