I’m not going to claim to have watched him loads and might be doing him a real disservice but for four months where our main aim at this point is 7th or a run at the FA cup, it doesn’t feel like a signing that significantly raises those possibilities. Feels more like he’d stop us sliding backwards if injuries continue. With Willock close to being back then there’s a midfield of Bruno, Sean and Willock that I’d probably go for over Hojbjerg. It might be different if he had more time but we know what Howe’s like for bedding people in anyway
-
Well yeah, the issue is our squad is decimated so he us of more value on the bench than some random academy player who will not make it through to the first team. Do I think he’s a better option than Sean or Miley? Probably not, he’d take time to adjust to our system and playing with a whole new set of players. Four months of football where he wouldn’t be first choice and get up to match speed unless there were injuries means that his sole value is coming in to provide a decent back up if injuries continue. That’s my opinion anyway
-
Don’t think he’s wank but he in no way improves us if we have a squad mostly fit. Would he do a job for us for half a season? Probably if that’s all we can afford
-
Put his big right foot in it if you ask me

This Povey sounds like a shit stirring cunt
-
I saw under £8m from a Twitter ITK but no idea if they’re legit
-
Buying Liverpool FC as our feeder club? Interesting

Moving St. James Park to Alnwick Castle? Could try to get it sponsored as the Harry Potter arena for bonus bunce
-
Pretty sure we’ll be bringing in the heavies if he doesn’t want to go after a £27m offer
-
If that’s the offer I can’t see a scenario where he’s staying
-
Almost doubling their paid bid for him within a single bid shows how fucking stupid their negotiation approach was
-
I can answer that - On the treatment table
-
Desperate to have some fit attacking players. Going to be bracing myself when I see him running again
-
If our one signing is Onana I’m going to be absolutely gutted. I don’t normally poo poo potential signings but i think it would be a colossal waste of money and fuck us on FFP
-
Win this and our season still has real meaning. Lose it and our season becomes about bedding players back in extremely gently after their injuries, e.g. Willock and Barnes as well as blooding some of the younger players who have a future with us. Will be interesting to see what happens with Hall for the rest of the season if we lose this
-
All gone very quiet. Does sound like of there are no major incomings or first team outgoings then the summer window is going to be absolutely wild
-
As someone else posted, it’s hilarious how they’ve acted after withdrawing. “We never fancied you anyway, we were just asking you out for a laugh and were going to reject you if you said yes, you slag”
-
Loan then £7m offer initially, dickheads
-
I think he’ll be class. He’s clearly technically very strong, he has more speed than anyone else playing centrally and he can attack and defend. He’s also got a fantastic dead ball delivery and will eventually take that on over Trippier. Struggle to see how it doesn’t work out unless there are personal issues or he doesn’t end up feeling settled. He needs to give his absolute all to salvage his career and reputation

Being out for two years with knee injuries, it’s pretty insane that he’s made it to this level. You’d think that would have halted his progress. He must really want it. Hopefully he’s one of those lads that’s football crazy
-
The news about the dislocated knees came originally from @Ikon then I joked about it and others did. What was the actual source for the knees Ikon?
-
£60m, I know that’s what they want rather than what a buying club will necessarily pay but football’s an utter joke these days. The amount of money that gets spent on players who are completely unproven or just outright not quality players is obscene
