I’ve generally backed him a lot since it became clear he was going to join us. I did essentially call him a sewer rat because of his aggro attitude when he was at Everton but it’s great to have players to dislike who play for other teams. I’m sure most clubs’ fans have him high up on their most disliked NUFC player because of his attitude but that’s a good thing. I hate Bruno Fernandes but I get why Man U fans love him, even accounting for his excellent play

Chelsea give me almost as much joy as NUFC these days. I probably dislike Liverpool just as much, sometimes more but there’s not a club I’d rather see absolutely fail than Chelsea

His next step is regularly cutting inside from the left and burying chances in the corner like a reverse Saka or Robben. I think he could have that in him. Whether he becomes so versatile that he has a free role or can be as effective on both wings is something I’m unsure of. I think his goals will go up markedly this season and assists. he’s just too quick for him not to get both loads of goals and loads of assists where he cuts the ball back to a Wilson or Isak in the box. Today he regularly beat his man after being well behind him when he set off for the ball

Better player by some distance than Jordan Henderson these days and plays a fairly similar role

Could be a lot worse than a toe problem. If it’s broken then 8 weeks? But he surely couldn’t have broken it today

He is a player we haven’t had since Bellamy really. But he’s got way bigger potential than Bellamy had

His touch and close control does make him a very creative player on the ball, can find space so easily and sees great passes. Think he’ll have a very good career

His intelligence is probably the best thing about his game, he understands it so well

Gordon’s pace is what we’ve been missing for a while, he’s going to demolish some other sides this season too

Gordon, what an insane performance this has been. This lad is special

Hard to say given how shit they’ve been but much much better. They’re so open though and can’t hold onto the ball so there’s no comparison with any other game this season
