I do think that Ramsey will come good, I’m sure of it. Joelinton probably needs to be out the picture for him to completely flourish though. Gordon is nailed on to be a top player for six games a season, an average player for half the games and a sucking scowler for the remainder. I can’t see a scenario where I ever stop backing Howe. That’s down to his integrity, his cup win, the CL qualification and matches we’ve had in Europe as well as saving us from relegation. However, he is rightfully being criticised for things that are in his control. Gordon shouldn’t have taken Barnes’ spot. Joelinton shouldn’t get a free pass into the side whenever he’s fit or even half-fit. He shouldn’t have been given the licence to sign Elanga in the summer. This is all fair criticism

Absolutely this, there isn’t exactly a shortage of technical wingers out there that can carry the ball, dribble, beat a man and link play. Somehow we’ve ended up with a set of wingers that struggle with most of these traits. It’s fucking mad

This is the crux of Eddie’s tenure now. Can he take a proper backseat in recruitment while still directing the general player profile to the recruitment team. We need to sign footballers. That has to be the absolute top priority in our signings, people like Lewis Hall. Howe has to trust the recruitment team, Elanga on a ‘pro rats’ basis is currently our worst ever signing. I know he won’t end up being that by the end of his time here but he’ll have to go something to not be in our top ten worst ever signings at this point

Aye, fuck the copium off. Sunderland looked very poor yesterday but so did we. Neither side looked remotely good. However their home record is good and we’re in Europe so both sides are better than they showed yesterday. Sunderland will be staying up so we’ll have to get used to playing them again. Think this is particularly damning and worrying. How did it come to this? We knew this position was absolutely key for us for about six straight windows. We’ve bought a player who can play in one system and who has barely any versatility to his game. He can run into space, is fast and can cross the ball. He’s fucking disgracefully bad at controlling a football, he doesn’t read the game properly, he doesn’t put his foot in ever, he can’t win a ball aerially, he can’t beat his man with his feet and he can’t play out of tight spaces. What the fuck has gone on here
