  1. Imagine if the definitive high point of his career ends up being his time with us and yet he’s despised by the fans and can’t ever come back without being booed to fuck. You stupid, silly cunt Isak
  2. YNWHA - You’ll never walk home alone New slogan, even if you leave early there’ll be loads leaving with you
  3. Would be a terrible decision for numerous reasons. I think Howe’s list of backable players in priority is probably - Burn Bruno Joelinton Gordon Pope So if he does drop him it’ll say a lot, equally the same can be said about anyone on that list. I personally think Burn has earned not being dropped at CB, I think Bruno only ever needs dropping because he needs an occasional rest. The other three should get dropped a lot more than they have been. He has almost no reason to play Gordon at the weekend so it would be quite something if he does play. I’m sure Jow will play and I’m not sure what could cause him to be dropped. Pope, I think there’s a decent chance he gets dropped

    Joe Willock

Very good point this, would like to see him there more. What was interesting about last night was that he started confidently and he just carried it through the whole game. Couldnt get over how he was approaching the game, completely opposite of how disengaged he’s often looked in the last two years
  5. You’ve always come across decent. I think we all see decisions through our own club bias. Enjoy the rest of the season, hope you win the league
  6. Dont have an issue with Burn playing CB, he deserves to over Botman. If he was to play LB I’d have major concerns with the decision. Pope should be dropped and I think it’s barely debatable

    Jacob Ramsey

There’s some truth to it for sure but I think everyone’s losing their heads a bit. In some cases giving people time is absolutely the right thing for the team. Someone like Elanga and Ramsey shouldn’t need a lot of time but like Prophet says, Eddie takes a decent amount of time to trust people to implement his tactics and once he trusts them he backs them massively. The narrative has gone a little too extreme on him not introducing new players though
  8. That’s a fair analysis but I personally think without that error it’s still ours to win and the worst result is likely a draw. We continued to create chances in the second half although not as well as the first but we should have scored again

    Nick Pope

Sadly yes, you are right. Not so much the decision making, across a season he probably makes a few ricks but also makes some important and good decisions. It’s all about the kicking. If we were a massively fluent side with the ball maybe it wouldn’t be such an issue but when we struggle with possession it’s horrific to give it away 8-10 times each game
  10. I’m not saying we sign PEA, I’m saying he’s still at his age a better striker than most in world football. How many players put his two chances away? The rapist is clearly a very good player, as was Bakola
  11. I think given our tactical approach that was always going to happen. We were just undone by Aubameyang being so clinical and our players not being as clinical. We cut through them as much if not more than they did us in my opinion. When we weren’t breaking quickly on counter attacks then I think our defensive shape was very good. It was just because of us committing players into attacks that we were stretched at the back but ultimately I think the approach and tactics were good
  12. They created plenty of chances as they’re a good side but we created just as many if not more. Gordon should have scored at least one. Willock and Elanga should have probably scored as well. If we’d had an elite finisher like Aubameyang we win that game easily. He’s the difference
  13. I find it hard to imagine Elanga not ever being a dud. I don’t think it’s going to happen for him this season, I think he will improve dramatically next season as he works extremely hard and he’s got enough physical attributes to be a success while being able to use both feet. However, for £55m we needed a player that would impact things straight away and who would have some versatility to their game, e.g. break down defences, stretch teams, play different positions in the team etc. As it stands, he can play one role and it’s counter attacking football where he can run into space. That’s not what we needed
  14. I repeat that I think our tactics were spot on yesterday and we played well largely. Had excellent defensive shape for a lot of the game and created a lot of opportunities. If we’d been able to play our strongest team we win. We’d likely have won without Pope’s error

I think he’s absolute quality and that’s based mainly off his time at Villa. However he’s shown some quality flashes for us. He needs to be backed with a run in the team and I’m certain he’ll become a great player for us. However I’m not convinced Howe will drop Joelinton for him. I think Burn, Bruno and Joelinton are almost unstoppable for Howe if they’re not injured

I absolutely love Pope and the player he’s been for us but I can’t handle his kicking. That’s a way bigger issue for me than anything else. It brings huge unnecessary pressure on us every game multiple times
