  1. Surely anyone who follows football would? He’s outstanding
  2. What was the name of that academy lad they bought off us who was meant to be a good prospect? We’ll have him back if he’s pushed on, other than that absolutely no one. Horrific squad of players
  3. Going to hold off until full-time but provided Burnley win I’ll be logging onto Grand Old Team with my cock out while following the derby
  4. Not to worry, Frankie de Tory will handing out fines left, right and centre to his players to get them pumped for the Merseyside derby. The man’s a motivator
  5. I remember him being all elbows and dirty from his early days. Think it was his way of compensating for not being a great player
  6. I didn’t mind them back then but I always hated Fellaini, he was a complete wanker on the pitch. They had such a core set of players for years back then, Phil Neville, Leon Osman, Phil Jagielka, Lescott for a few years too, Distin, Tim Cahill, Anichebe

    Joelinton

Decent enough? He’s been outstanding in many games in midfield. He’s class man, if he continues to improve in front of goal then he’ll be a brilliant player
  8. I would absolutely sell him, good attitude and pace but technically not good enough and his crossing / striking of a ball isn’t good enough. Nothing against the lad, love his big smiles in the team photos but he’s set for a future at the bottom end of the premier league
  9. Feels like in the PL era there’s never been a better time to mount a challenge for the top six because of how the traditionally big clubs are struggling outside of Liverpool and Man City. It would be stupid to expect a push for top six next season but I think top 8 would be a good target now. Howe’s already proved he’s more than capable with this squad. Give I’m three-four more quality players and I think top eight is definitely achievable. If injuries go our way and other clubs still struggle would be great to aim even higher
  10. Because he wants to be part of the ride, we’ll get a lot of hanger-on types alongside all the people who hate us. Some people love success and money and want to be associated with it (look at Tories). There’ll be a lot of Luke Edwards types. Not looking forward to all the plastics I have to say
  11. @WillDanceForChocolateread it all, loved it all and learnt a lot I didn’t know about Eddie. Thank you for the write up, I also hope we treat him well and he’s here for years and years. He deserves it and although I don’t think any club necessarily deserves success, I think it’s almost time for us to have some
  12. I’m absolutely sick of it like, has it improved decisions being made, no. Has it made games less enjoyable, yes. If they can’t get it right it needs to be sacked off
  13. I’m going to put some dirt in your eye (bully Maguire meme)
  14. The only one who seems to actually love football and not the position or themselves is Tim Vickery
  15. Phil McNulty is the BBC’s chief football writer and yet he never writes anything remotely insightful or interesting. He barely ever takes a proper stance and only really does when there’s a strong consensus of opinion, what’s the point of him?
  16. What I love about that Arteta quote is that he talks about the last 100 years. Football records and managers are really only talked about from the last 70 years (with decreasing references every decade you go back) so he’s essentially saying in the entire history of football he’s one of the most important managers in this country. If we also bear in mind that the Premier League has been globally the biggest league Arteta’s quote can be understood really as he’s one of the most important managers in the history of football. If that’s not a sure sign that Arteta is never going to be a great manager I don’t know what is. Here’s the quote: “He's one of the most important managers that England has had in the last 100 years, I would say. It's something to reflect and think about.”
  17. He did dial it down in the second half, delivered some better passes, got his head up. Sure, he ran into some dead ends today but I thought it was better overall and his attitude throughout was brilliant

    Joelinton

Fuck me man, can’t handle all this Joelinton content. He’s the defining player in our phoenix rebirth as a club
  19. Would love to give them a game, don’t really care about the result but just want us to keep the fortress atmosphere and play well
  20. Love a bit of Gary ‘send me to dignitas’ Birtles

    Joelinton

I just love him, my favourite player in this squad. Been saying since his midfield masterclasses that if he could add goals he’d be a monster
  22. Poor Gayle, can’t even get in a side with no striker. Happy with the team but I’d have played Gayle instead of Murphy. Clearly though Howe doesn’t see anything in Gayle
