Forgot about that rule, no doubt it'll get moved into the pardew thread. He's definitely angry, lot of clenched teeth. Might be a good thing if he's let off some steam though. Can't wait for next saturday

not even sure what's happening

Aye, if we haven't seen the worst of Simpson yet. There's a good chance we will this season. He really doesn't strike me as the kind of player who likes to be challenged like that

normally I get a bit weary of the 'pathetic' posts now. But this one cracked me up, just the way you called yourself pathetic -
Did he do a tweet when Carroll left saying how much he loved the club? While that shit donaldson said anybody would have done the same
-
The ginger, the legend. But is he worthy of his own thread?
-
If the source is twitter, have a word
-
At least Campbell came out of the game shining even though he only got ten mins. Would love it if he has a couple of those in the cups this season
-
Just to follow up what Dave posted earlier, these guys are so hilariously awful. The way he says definitely twice is pure comedy and then he says 'it's all about results'. What was last season all about? just a laugh as they got relegated?

That line about being arrogant/not prepared/underestimated the opposition gets trotted out whenever a team that is much better on paper loses to another team. Quite often, it's a load of shit. You can do lots of prep and expect to play a tough team and still play shit. sometimes, things just don't click and the other team does

Last year's was worse in terms of farcical mistakes. the Tiote thing was appalling, and cabaye not far off. This year has just been weird, hasn't felt like a pre-season for most of it. Have no idea how it's going to affect us until the first few weeks of the season though

Think it could be a high-scoring draw. 2-2. Hopefully with Marv on the scoresheet and Ba -
I don't mind trying new things but throwing people on in willy-nilly spots does seem like a waste. Shame Sammy and Ferguson are both injured (perennial little problems with a lot of our youth, vuckic included) as at least they could have had a proper run out and tried somehting new The season starts next week man. We should be putting the team out that is actually going to play. Aye, but failing that, it would have been good to have a few exciting youth players busting a gut to show they should be involved or add something different. Just a shame on that front. To be honest, I don't think there's a set formula to pre-season. Beating teams easily each time or losing badly each time is meaningless really as long as some physical fitness and match fitness are built up. We'll only be able to judge match fitness come next week

I'd misread that he was injured and left behind but obviously not. Cheers for that

All the space in the world but great pace and direction on the header
-
Fato really needs to get his career up and running again
-
Good runout for Perch this, no surprise that the goals stopped going in once he entered the pitch
-
Getting a bit pissed off with Mexico's physical side. not particularly dirty but it's really slowing the game down
-
Just another one of those non-committal things where commentators piss their pants in fear of actually making a judgement call
-
What did they say like?
-
Sounds like we're just trying to give people a run out here, would like it if Campbell got thirty minutes. In spite of it being a pre-season game, Pardew's not going to pleased with a first half of almost no chances created and the other team looking like scoring with every chance
-
for the Prophet Which is coming from our own website which, although not overly biased, is unlikely to be bigging up another team unless they're playing better than us. I don't think pre-season matches count for a lot when it comes to the start of the real season but it's not particularly good news, certainly not for our defence
-
We must be absolutely awful to be 3-0 down already. Pardew will be raging at some of the fringe-first-team players who aren't pulling their weight. Completely unacceptable performance with our league start in one week's time
