That's absolutely terrible news. 2 seasons out with an injury is really painful for a player, especially at his age where every year counts. He must be devastated considering he's so near to a return.

    Alan Pardew

    Some classics today.
  3. He'd cost a lot more and not necessarily achieve much for it. Yes I agree, tactically he's much better than Pardew, but to me he's one of those cases where you end up paying for the reputation rather than the results. Like I said, his over-defensive line ups meant his finishing league positions were consistently disappointing for Liverpool considering the money they threw at it. It was more a question for neesy who thinks Benitez is a poorer manager, which I disagree. I can understand those who consider him a lesser option in view of the set-up here including issues you have mentioned. Putting those aside, he's better tactically, has clear ideas and will make the players work as a team. He also managed to win both domestic and continental competitions with Liverpool, and so nearly got them to their first league title in years. Agree with you there might be better options like. I prefer an upcoming manager able to impose his ideas on the team and a long-term vision. But when it comes to managerial capabilities, Rafa >>> Pardew definitely.
  4. He's fiercely loyal to Whelan. Doubt he'll walk on Whelan, especially for Ashley's club.
  5. Genuine question, what makes you think that Benitez is worse than Pardew?
  6. It will be either PEA or Carroll. Doubt they will spend big money on 2 first-team strikers to add to Cisse. PEA for me.
  7. Lol isn't that an open secret? Nowt new to me.
  8. Aye, not the way going forward besides the very obvious reasons. Much prefer a young upcoming manager able to implement his ideas and a long-term future.
  9. Makes me sick thinking of PDC's face just moments later.
  10. Think Colo is back. Given the poor form of Taylor and MYM recently I'd have him straight back in. Didn't know. If Colo's back and fit, so yes. But I prefer Colo-MYM than Colo-Taylor. Definitely a Saylor-Colo partnership since they already have an understanding which has been lacking in our recent games. Will also need Saylor to take care of Lukaku. Edit: You just know they will play Shane Long once we decide on Saylor-Colo.

Because apart from those things he has Sociedad on the verge of Champions League qualification on a shoe string budget. Would also have knowledge of the budget league that is La Liga too.
  12. To be fair I thought that going into the same fixture last year and we blitzed them. We'll see this time I guess Well that would be nice surprise, but we are playing nothing like that and our manager has reached the end of his use by date. God i'm so depressed. We all are. Just got to hope the team crawls over the finish line (we're not that far away) and then changes are made in the summer. I wish i had your optimism Really? I don't have any Well you seemed to have the way i read it It's more of a 'shut your eyes on a rollercoaster and hope you are still alive at the end' kinda hope But our rollercoaster never goes up
  13. No idea...I'm sure it was earlier than this considering they normally wear it for the last home game don't they? Edit: http://www.footballkitnews.com/4091/leaked-newcastle-strip-12-13-nufc-home-kit-2012-2013/ 25th of January Have not seen (m)any leaked PL kits either
  14. Those are FM style templates so I hazard a guess it's some people's imagination.
  15. Yeah saw that on matchday. What a knob. More likely to go to jail than find a club.

    Alan Pardew

Really? 100% deadly serious accurate, no lies, turn around touch the ground, no tiggie butchers, truths. Yeah but what about his connection? Is it really really?

They've got Everton, Villa, Southampton, Stoke and one more, not sure who. Apr 20 Sunderland v Everton Stadium of Light Apr 29 Aston Villa v Sunderland Villa Park May 6 Sunderland v Stoke City Stadium of Light May 12 Sunderland v Southampton Stadium of Light May 19 Tottenham v Sunderland White Hart Lane Might just stay up. The derby win would have given them self-confidence and fresh impetus.

I think too much has been made on the 8 year contract. After Allardyce and Keegan, he was never gonna pay out an insane sum for sacking a manager. If anything the contract merely means any club coming in for him after his MOTY award needs to pay a huge compensation. Ashley would also have an escape clause somewhere in there offering much less than the 8 years worth should he sack Pardew. You're probably right but for me a manager with 1-2 years left on his contract, effectively playing for his next contract would put in more effort and dedication to his job than a man who knows that he just has to do the bare minimum year in year out to keep him in beer? He knows he isn't safe from the chop like. You remember him totally stressed out in his interviews before the January signings? The only thing going for him is that Ashley and Llambias seem to like him and Pardew knows his place, but even so they can only tolerate so much. Ashley still holds the trump card when it comes to cutting him off.
