  1. So this could be how we find out there is no takeover? Fuuuuuck me.
  2. Definitely had a thread for all this fake Twitter shite.
  3. I jacked in being a full-time supporter years ago. Still watch the occasional game, keep up with all the take over shite / yearly transfer rumours etc and look forward to the day Ashley leaves. But it was all having too much of a detrimental effect on my weekends. Grumpy with the kids when we would inevitably loose or draw another game. Then I'd be pissed off for most of the weekend, get over it (until the next weekend landed again), rinse / repeat. Honestly looked forward to the summer breaks more than the next season. The added bullshit with we've had to deal with over the last 10+ years really hasn't helped. Modern day media coverage, bellends all over social media (hardly restricted to football admittedly). Bellends that play the game all over social media. The massive divide in wealth between players and paying fans. Just all seems like a very different game these days. I sound like a right miserable c*nt. But honestly, I feel much better for it (the leaving football bit, not being a miserable c*nt) .
  4. Grab yourselves a cuppa. This is a fun read. https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/newcastle-united-v-everton-preview-match-report-and-motm-poll.106642/page-47

I imagine it's mystifying most Sunderland fans how poorly their team have played, and continue to play this season. Is their squad the strongest in the division? no, perhaps not. Could the players moral have hit such a low point that's it's beyond reprieve? at such an early juncture, I think not (hang in there lads). Have the fans reached the pinnacle of their collective tolerance, after enduring yet another lacklustre home performance? if they have then their crowds have yet to reflect it. And as salient as some of these questions may be, they should all pale into insignificance when you consider that they've got, 'Boom Boom! Simon Grayson, they've got, Boom Boom! Simon Grayson, they've got, Boom Boom! Simon Grayson, and he's theirs'. ad infinitum

Fucks going on with that pic at the top? :/
  9. Clearly his wallpaper stripper didn't arrive on time. Bloody bank holidays.
  10. Agreed. Also, the 'He should walk' patter is equally as enjoyable to read every other post.
  11. Yep, comfortably blocked Kane off the ball before that tackle as well.
  12. From oatcakefanzine: He was brilliant away at Swansea and Watford. Scored a beast of a header at Bournemouth too. He moves around looking for the ball and making runs. That's what takes him out wide and makes people think he's 'wandering.' He gets himself in the game by moving wide, dropping short and constantly making himself avaliable, completely the opposite of what Berahino does which is why he's so hapless. Gets assists too by moving around, away at Everton, West Brom and home to Norwich too. In our team (unless you're Crouch) then standing around in the middle of the pitch being constantly marked will render you as useless as Berahino. He'll score plenty at Newcastle if he's given a run meanwhile we'll be relegated persisting with our current options.
  13. Almost as bad as the John Barnes's rap.
  14. Be insane if they didn't get one though, right? I mean, they must see this. With the current defensive set up, no matter what other positions are filled, how well we're playing, we will continue to ship goals and lose games because of our god awful defending. Also worry about it damaging the confidence of the other signings. They play well, score, go ahead, and... FFS!!! again with the fucking defending, what's the point.
