This is an odd one. There are 5 weeks left to sign players, so there is still plenty of time. In reality, we know the club won't do business at the end of the window as it's likely they consider this "panic buying" where you do something crazy like sign a player who is available and plays in a position you need filled rather than looking at your list of 3 names who don't want to join and decidimg you'll just ask them again next year.

Bingo. I don't think you have to be big to be a CB, but I think a back four with not a single player over 6 foot is asking for bother against a lot of teams. Regardless of the lads height he is 27 this season and his experience in the Premier League is getting relegated with Hull.

I'd be happy with a big lad, Mbemba, Dummett, Fist Pumps and the young lad in that order. Flog colo, shoot Williamson and then upgrade on Taylor next year. Seems simple enough. Biggest issue is this regime buying what we need, not what might be a good deal. Mbemba might be good but he needs the right partner and that needs to be someone bigger with experience in a main league.

So disappointing that were 2 weeks away from the first game and our CBs are still those two knackers. Still, other than that and the horrific bench it looks OK. Please let that captain stick.
