May as well accept the 15 million loss and hope he promotes them. His options as a first choice forward are all gone now.
-
Dummett cannot play LB in the current setup imo so I'll take a new left back and Dummett as 3rd/4th choice CB.

Camera conspiracies! It's not that were small marra, its just that we're a little further away.

I know at least one member of this forum that thinks it's absolutely shocking that Vardy has to apologise for something he has a national right to say. We've fought in wars to be allowed the freedom to be racist towards anyone we like. PC gone mad, innit.

I can only assume there's a bit of "damaged goods" about Shaqiri like. I think he'd be great but he's already made his big move and it hasn't worked out for him. He's then went to another club of considerable size/prestige and lasted all but a few months. He'll most likely be on huge wages as well which probably combines to a less than promising resale potential. I mean, if Stoke is your move then there has to be something putting other teams off. He certainly didn't look chuffed to be there. When the entire point of our club is to buy players on their way up, rather than on their way down, I can see why it's not a goer. We'll just stick with Obertan again.

34 with Sterling to play. Irritated by Arsenal being awful and the fact that I removed Joe Gomez from my last team and he got an assist and a clean sheet today
-
Other than Colbacks clearance, he was pretty poor today. I thought he got bullied in the midfield and got turned far to easily and frequently.
-
There was one moment when he the midfield was caught out and he was essentially 1 v 1 against an attacker moving at pace and he just read the ball, stepped in front of the attacker and came away with it like there was no problem. Anyone else in our defence and that moment is either a card or the player has a 1 v 1 with Krul. I also like how he steps up with the ball at his feet and opens attacking angles from defence. It's wonderful to see someone play the game from that position rather than just drop their arse and hoof it.

All of them are Michael Chopra after a few pints. No point dragging up a specific thread but Lee Clark is on Sky 1 at the moment picking his Premier League XI and some of his spellings for the player names are hideous. Really rates Paul Scuoles and Peter Scumicuel. Have a word. He's also top left signature on that shirt by the looks of it.

Carzola went through a ridiculous purple patch during Girouds injury where he took several pens. When Giroud is fit I think at the very best the split spot kick duty. Also Walcott was not fit last year. Expect rotation and diminished points. Not what you want for 8.5 considering the other options imo.

It's gone from "four or five 15M players" to 2 more years minimum of Colo. I agree, on paper without having seen Mbemba he's our best CB but that isn't a reason to give him a new contract, it's a massive red flag telling you we need new CB's. I hope for our sake Mbemba is mint, because if he isn't we're screwed. Colo is absolutely done and a new partner alone will not fix that.
-
Cannot support another 3 years of Colo. Again we watch as opportunity passes us by.

Holy shit there are a lot of people in this league. What's the deal with head to head league? How do they work.
-
I'd save the water for the pitch personally
-
Well they do have a player called Reynaldo so there's every chance. Their pitch is horrific.

Spurs players offer basically no value. The defence is a random mix and all the midfield options are overpriced. I'd question how much Eriksens fortunes last season were reliant on Kane as well. Not bad players, but when the likes of Lamela are 7.0 you know there's not a great deal there. I'll add that if the defence calms down, there may be good shouts in Alderwiereld and Davies this season. Nothing for me at GW1 tho.

He didn't do we going forward because no one did well going forward. If the likes of Gini, De Jong and Mitrovic and move about around him then I think we'll see him perform to a much better standard. I've said it before but I like the fact that even with it all going against him he never hid and he always wanted to be positive. Not many can say that of last season. Needs to be stronger on the ball but there is a player there. Feels fated to fail mind unfortunately.
-
If he'd just kept his mouth shut he'd be remembered rather fondly. As it is, I can only echo the brilliance of him being in goal. One of the best times I've had at a football match.
-
Forum will be on suicide watch after he tell us about the great depth and quality of the squad.

The limited amount of time I've seen De Jong play hasn't affected me either positively or negatively. Worried about his fitness but I think/hope he can be a player to link the front 3 and the rest of the team working in the pocket between the midfield and the defence. Doesn't seem have great skill on the ball but looks technically sound, looks to find other players, can have a punt from distance and can get on the end of things. There is no one in the squad who really does that at the moment so I'm quietly confident. -
I imagine the reason is QPR want 15M for him and someone will buy him for close to that so now he won't play again. Same thing I think is happening with Colo. I hope either we sign him next week or someone who is not Sunderland sign him next week. Either way I want this one put to bed because it's boring now. How many articles can be written about "Newcastle are interested. Won't pay 15M"?
