    Alan Shearer

    Not bad company to keep.
  2. A dozen Jaguars. Yeah that's normal, Michael.
  3. Atletico de Kolkata v Mumbai City is set to start on channel 809. Atmosphere sounds great.
  4. Get French Football ‏@GFN_France 45m Yohan Cabaye on PSG to @lequipe: "To be honest, I am not happy."
  5. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/oct/07/premier-league-38th-game-overseas-fixtures Not this shit again.
  6. Palace's co-chairman: “I don’t think you can just aim to finish 17th because that would put the team in a precarious position." Bloke's missing out, much more fun aiming for 17th.
  7. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/11140288/Yohan-Cabaye-Newcastle-manager-Alan-Pardew-in-trouble-now-so-Im-sad-for-him.-The-players-must-work-harder.html FFS.
  8. Saw this on Twitter. This compares Pardew's last 24 games with the last 24 games of other managers who were sacked. The three at the bottom didn't complete 24.
  9. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/sep/15/premier-league-10-talking-points To an extent Alan Pardew is a patsy. He was not responsible for selling Yohan Cabaye, whose departure seemed to spread disillusionment among the rest of the squad, nor is he the main influence on transfers. It is not his fault that Fabricio Coloccini, for example, looks to be in terminal decline and Newcastle do not have a better centre-back on their books. You could even cut Pardew some slack over the loss of Hatem Ben Arfa given that the Frenchman has a habit of falling foul of managers. However, Pardew is not entirely powerless: he can affect the team’s tactics and mindset and should be able to inspire displays of cohesion, energy and drive. There was little sign of such qualities during Saturday’s abysmal performance at St Mary’s against a team that have lost more key players than Newcastle in recent months. The manager may not be the biggest problem at Newcastle but it is increasingly difficult to make a case for him being part of the solution. Paul Doyle Not his fault that a bloke called Yanga-Mbiwa is now playing in Italy. These people are jokers; a little bit of research is too much for them. Or they know, but it's more fun having a go at the deluded Geordies.
  10. Just finished our bit with "The fans expect a lot in Newcastle, they expect a lot from their manager." Just fucking carries on.
  11. I thought Bruce rejected the chance to manage us after SBR was sacked. If he wasn't interested then, I doubt he'll be interested now.
  12. Sam Cunningham ‏@samcunningham 2m Been told contrary to reports Alan Pardew was straight on the Newcastle bus after speaking to TV and did not hold talks with Mike Ashley.
  13. mind you, that statement really knocks the wind out of any hope i had of pardew going that statement basically says i'll do what i f***ing want, here's a big f*** you to everyone Not handed out any bans for the articles about Pardew's future though. So I retain the hope of him leaving.
  14. Exactly. They were happy to spread all the lies about KK 6 years ago.
  15. Given Debuchy Woodgate Coloccini Enrique Solano Speed Cabaye Robert Shearer Bellamy From 1998.
  16. This is the other one which is going around: @Sport_Witness: Brazilian midfielder Elias got so drunk in a nightclub he urinated on the floor, passed out. Maicon and Oscar decided to teach him a lesson. @Sport_Witness: Back at the hotel, Oscar now wimped out, Maicon put Elias on a bed and smeared pepper on the midfielder's anus. And then condensed milk. @Sport_Witness: When Elias woke, Maicon told him about the shenanigans night before and said Elias had been sexually assaulted by four men, he'd seen it. @Sport_Witness: The only evidence was the milk. Elias went to Dunga, distraught, and told him everything. Police were called, Maicon confessed to the joke.
  17. There is a rumour on Twitter that Maicon has been kicked out of Brazil's team for cumming in Luiz's shampoo bottle.
  18. Cabella and Sissoko both start tonight.
  19. The poll is approaching Brian Lara levels of awesomeness.
  20. Not football but an absolutely stunning setting in Dharamshala, India. England and India played an ODI there in early 2013. http://www.northindiatimes.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/international_cricket_stadium_dharamshala_kangra.jpg
  21. And Trent Bridge. http://news.experiencenottinghamshire.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/central-helicopters.jpg One of my favourite cities in the UK, you get a similar feeling when you're on the ground too. Going along the bridge (seen in that photo) and seeing them all just one by one essentially in front of you is f***ing class IMO. Love Nottingham. Have a yearly outing there with work, always a good night. Was at Trent Bridge for the first time in July and was very impressed. Having all three stadiums within throwing distance of each other is awesome. Hope Forest come up! The one good thing with England missing out on 2018 was it stopped Forest from building a new stadium in Clifton which is a horrible area. There was talk last year that Forest might build one on a brownfield site closer to the City Centre. It would be on London Road which is the road that you see there (includes the bridge). Opposite Hooters so it would only be a 5-6 minute walk from the train station.
  22. I'm not a racist but I don't want an English manager. We've got a decent group of technicians in our team and only someone brought up who believes in keeping the ball on the ground is right for us. Don't even care if the bloke hasn't managed a top tier team. I'm all for chasing Dortmund's U18 manager; he'll have the same philosophy as Klopp.
