He's definitely offski IMO. Haven't heard a peep out of him since Rafa joined. If he had any future at the club, he would have been forced or pushed by the manager to communicate with the fans somehow. As good as gone IMO. There's also something up with that 'injury' he's got that's offically kept him out of the team. I think it's more likely he's been stopped for playing for some reason, perhaps because Rafa knew his heart wasn't in it and his head was in San Lorenzo, or maybe he's refused to play.

Unlikely. He's shown utter incompetence at every turn. In truth, he deserves no credit for Rafa staying - it was the fans that did all the work. Disagree with this mind, I'm far from his biggest fan but he deserves credit for firstly getting rafa here in the first place and secondly for the part he played in getting the new deal done. It was the fans that convinced rafa he'd like to stay, no doubt, but the rest of the work in making that a reality was done by Charnley and Ashley, that much can't be denied. I thought I read Rafa's people approached us initially, so it's not like Charnley had a grand plan to get him here and executed it. It fell in his lap. Agree with the second part though.

I think he'll stay. There aren't any major tournaments on next year and he might take a year in the Championship and gamble on us getting promoted at the first go. Also, Woy has said he'd still be in his plans even if he's playing in the Championship.

I would think that would be taken care of by Benitez's lawyers. Otherwise he could walk away tomorrow. This is the thing that worries me most with this complex, watertight contract. There'll be myriad ways they can f*** this up and cause him to walk. Ok, but why?.. Why would they want him to walk if he takes NUFC up? I'm not saying they'd want him to. I'm just saying that if they try to pull any tricks like, say, not giving him enough transfer funding then he could walk at any point due to breach of contract.

A complex contract will have a lot of potential for breaches I'd have thought. It's ok though cos Mike and Lee are extremely competent and trustworthy and I'm sure they won't breach any of the conditions.

There's a bit of a difference between a touch of heat stroke and a coma like. Wtf is going on here? Really hope he is ok. I loved Ginola and his time playing for us. Like Mick says, his goal against Ferencvaros was sublime and it was a standout moment in my time as a Newcastle fan. He was pure class.
