I guess it’s not just Howe though is it. It’s Nixon and Ashworth who have a say too. He wouldn’t be my choice by a country mile but if all 3 agree then he must have something. I’m hoping we go for someone else a bit more exciting and likely cheaper from abroad but if he does come I’ll get behind him.

He was just moaning about it to Eddie and it looked like Eddie was telling him to calm down. Edit: Looking at it again Jones’s first word looked like it could be ‘Longstaff’

Absolutely. His threaded through balls, flicks and backheels are so dangerous in the final third. He’s a goal threat too and I really feel we have lost something by keeping him deeper this season. He’s obviously great playing in a deeper position too because he’s such a good player but I think if we can get a more specialist player for the deep role we’ll see real benefits with Bruno playing higher.
